Morning - I'm a bit regular here atm! Like barely anything for 18 months but when I'm back, I'm back

So I bit the bullet and purchased the bus pass. It's a big purchase, £350, but means I won't have to worry about driving (can use bus time productively to read ), petrol, parking out of town and having a big walk to and from uni (saving time) and hopefully I will make the most of it and use it more for day to day travel

Have finished work for this week and not back until next weekend :relieved:

    Small things for today:

    * load of washing about to finish & be hung on line
    * TOMM - kitchen
    * fold and put away a mound of washing
    * go to corner shop and post a return - I purchased what I thought was an A3 academic year family calendar, turns out it was for 2022!
    * go through fridge, wipe down and reorganise - it's a mess!
    * sorted out 3 drawers in the kitchen looking for something I had lost and threw away loads of clutter
    * did budget plan for next month
update spends to come from student fundst'
    * all food from stores. Check plan for tonight's meal
    * making a cake with madam after school
    * sauna, read book, and maybe go for a walk for leisure
    * reserve a book for madam at the library

Ok going to grab a coffee, read th news and crack on

    Evening all :)
Really busy afternoon at work, so no plans to do anything much else today - but I have:
    Walked dog
Found Lidls receipt from the other day in my bag and updated my spreadsheet
Froze berries from fridge - come to think of it, I may have to pick raspberries etc that are ready, or I won't have any for breakfast.
Routine kitchen and bathroom clean up
Used up a few walnuts and an end of blue cheese that OH hadn't eaten (I don't like blue cheese), made into little stilton and walnut scones. Haven't been baking much recently as we are trying to lose weight, but food waste isn't allowed round here! I treayed myself to one for lunch, but have frozen half of them for another time.
Car went in for a major service, so big bill paid :# I did have money set aside for it though. And they collected and delivered it free of charge.
Had to walk to and from work (as car was at garage), which was ok as it didn't rain. Lots of steps today!
Converted leftover bolognese to chilli, and had that with jacket potato and HM coleslaw for dinner.

    Evening,

Taken me just under 3 hours to get home from work. Real bad car crash, sadly someone passed. I had frozen pizza and dippers in the car from a quick stop, they've defrosted so dippers and pizza for food

I'm super tired so early night tonight, going to watch vigil

  • Morning guys  I've been awake since 5.30. Have been doing some research and looked up some books to go pick up

    jadewest94 that's sad

Going in to town today to go check out the uni library and get a handle on it. Need to email someone from uni to say I haven't received reading list for next week - the uni seems a little disorganised!

Will return 2 things, exchange another while in town. Also pick up a rucksack.

TOMM - think it'll be a mop up session finishing rooms I didn't have a chance to as was working.

    All meals from stores.

Will make a pizza wheel and freeze for madam's lunch during the week

    Reading & sauna for leisure

    Payday so money shuffle

    That's me. Happy Friday y'all

    Morning all!

It's payday woo!! I'm driving to West Midlands Safari Park (only 2 hours away!) for a birthday present to my brother. But now he's still asleep so I'm giving him 20 minutes and I'm just going to turn up at the house

Great pics @jadewest94 - I love giraffes! I was lucky enough to visit a giraffe sanctuary in Kenya years ago. They were really tame, and their eyelashes are so long, and their noses so soft <3
Lots of little jobs done today, and still more to do:
    So far I have:
    Walked dog
    Watered garden pots where needed
Load of washing which is out on the line not doing much! Dull, still sort of day.
Made some fishcakes for dinner, using up leftover mashed potato
Made a rice pudding to use up cream on its date
Froze some apples and berries from the garden
    Cleaned kitchen, including the floor
Prepped RM surveys items for the coming week
Applied dubbin to my new walking boots - they arrived yesterday. My old pair (at least 15 years old) finally gave up the ghost back in the spring, and I have been managing with trainers since then, but the grass is wet in the mornings now, even though it hasn't rained, and I am tired of getting wet feet!
Filed some stuff away, including receipt for recent car service
Still need to check over the larder (there was a funny smell which I traced to a gone off egg - DD gives me eggs from her chickens sometimes but muddles the fresh ones up with the older ones sometimes :#
And water the flowers in the front garden pots.
