  • @Brie @Countess823 I also remember that Royal Mail were prioritising the delivery of COVID testing kits at the start of the pandemic, it's possible that they still doing that now, which will affect other mail deliveries.

Thanks for your reply. I have not contacted my MP yet - I am minded to do so this evening.
    "I am minded..."?!

Honestly these people are not employees or even accountable to you beyond a superficial level.  They don't care. Management jargon and posturing will just relegate you to the dustbin.

Do you want a resolution or do you want to prove your superiority.  Just stick to the facts, give them an opportunity to respond and it you don't get what you want, decide whether you care enough to go to court over it.

Why do you think that 28th September is an important deadline?  Hope you are not looking at the 14 day 'discount' period as if it matters. You won't be paying MET.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Dear xxx,

Firstly I would like to thank you for your email to xxxx (Business Manager) of the xxxx restaurant in xxx. I am sorry you feel you have unjustly received a parking fine from MET Parking regarding your visit to the restaurant on the 9th September 2021.

The time of arrival was 18.39 and time of departure 23.01 so the total duration of the stay was 262 minutes vs the 90 minutes maximum which is clearly displayed upon entering the car park and also displayed on multiple lampposts within the car park.  I understand your frustrations but the 90 minute maximum stay is also in place to ensure we have enough parking spaces available at all times for our customers and feel that 90 minutes provides sufficient time for all customers to enjoy their stay.

    Kindest Regards
    xxxxx

McD's has always been poor on good customer service.

But hey, what they are saying is we don't care about you as a customer

It was so easy for them to cancel but they decide to play hardball.  Simply boycott them and tell your friends, we can all live without McDONALDS

We wait to see what MET does now

Yep, ignore MET even if you lose at POPLA.  Stop looking at the 14 days as if it means something to you.  Appeal and POPLA is fully covered in the NEWBIES thread.

Thanks @patient_dream – I agree. I have drafted the following reply. The operations supervisor for the franchisee has copied in the area ops manager for McDs Ltd. Therefore, based the advice in the 'sticky thread' –  https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822/newbies-private-parking-ticket-old-or-new-read-these-faqs-first-thankyou#latest that "faced with a polite but 'angry customer who will never return' complaint many retailers cancel these" – perhaps my words need to be polite but suitably cutting:

Dear Mr [operations supervisor for franchisee],

    Thank you for your reply.

I find it curious that rather cancel the MET demand (as you are able to do), you would rather risk negative publicity and forfeiting future customer spend in your restaurant(s), which I can assure you will be considerably more than the value of the penalty charge notice. This is after I politely made my case in person in the restaurant and put my complaint in writing, as requested by your business manager, Mr Sxxxx. Incidentally, during our discussion Mr Sxxxx said he would not wish to lose custom – but that approach appears to be at odds with the one you have take so far. Perhaps that point should be noted by the operations area manager for McDonald's Restaurants Ltd.

Therefore, may I ask again for the MET Parking Services demand be struck out immediately please?

I look forward to hearing from you,
