Bbc iplayer won't let me sign in on smart tv

I have a sharp smart tv and for a while it was working fine with bbc iplayer but recently it is asking me to sign in so I click on sign in, it says it is generating a code for me to enter online but this code never appears, it just takes me straight to a screen that says something went wrong and I can't log in. I can't work out how to delete and reinstall the app. I tried resetting my tv and that didn't help either. I have a very upset 2 year old so please help

I don't have any idea about sharp tvs but it would help for others if you say which exact model you have

TV not always/ ever possible to delete an app .Turn off yes but its the same app .OP does it not have other forms of sign up .0

Have you tried signing in via laptop / iPad ? ( sign out and sign in again ) ..0

Does the TV have freeview play? that may give you some options

Could you sign in / join using your PC / mobile and then just sign in with e mail on TV?

That doesn't seem to be an option. If I sign in on mobile first, when I load up the iplayer app on the TV, it still asks me to sign in but does the same thing where it just cuts to the 'something went wrong' screen before it even shows me a code to put in on my mobile/laptop.Farway said:Could you sign in / join using your PC / mobile and then just sign in with e mail on TV?0 -
