    UPDATE:

So my gut feeling was right as effectively I lost.

The judge also awarded them the extra £60 charge on each pcn (£160) as on the sign it states they may be an extra charge for debt recovery costs.

She decided to award them 1% instead of 8% interest. So I have to pay £320 for two pcns plus 1% interest of around £10 plus £109 claimant costs.

My only saving grace is that the claimant didn’t file an updated whiteness pack with the other 3 pcns on so the judge dismissed those pcns.

A bit lucky really and it still works out I pay less than what the settlement offer is. I’m sure the claimant will be kicking themselves as had they of sent in the bundle they would have got around another £500 out of me.

Also because I lost I was not able to claim loss of earnings for the other hearing. I’m a bit suprised because the claimant didn’t send the bundle in we basically just repeated the previous hearing. If I was the court I would of thrown it all out just on that, but nevermind.

The claimant definitely won’t be much better off as they would of had the court costs from the first hearing to pay plus the fee to dcb legal as well.

All I say is it seems it is more of a challenge to win these cases then it seems.

They've definitely lost money after the two hearings!  Shame to hear that you lost two of them but sweet victory that by their own incompetence, the other side binned the chance for more than twice as much!

Promise us please, that like us, you will do the last DLUHC Public Consultation and have read and bookmarked the latest posts on the Announcement thread by MSE_JC where we will post when the Govt releases their impact assessment and opens the Consultation.
