Amateurish site, no physical address, foreign phone number, no legal consumer rights, no positive reviews.

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

    I agree with the above.

    It's furren too!

Not for the UK. It is a US registered site.
Prices in furren Euros. No nice warm-feeling £s

I'd not go there. ebuyer.com is best I find.

Site was only created last month (16 November).

    Avoid.

Yep agree. Personally I tend to use scan but I guess that depends on whether you get free postage or not as to whether it is cheaper or not.

    Hello everybody !
I am living in Portugal and am a regular eBay-UK, buyer.
I have Registered in this site just to let you know that on the 17th Dec. 07 I Purchased a Playstation 3, 60Gb from this www.eleshopping.com for 250.euros plus an additional 50.euros for Delivery with UPS plus later I was asked for another 50.euros for Tax (they called it) l PRESUMED they were referring to "Customs Fees" . I chatted to them "on line" on their Home Page and was also given a "MSN" address which I added to my list and could "chat" there with them, too. I asked for the UPS Tracking number, but was told that it was NOT valide. After contacting them daily and calling their Tel. number mentioned on their site...I still have NOT recieved ANYTHING . Now they don't even chat to me... I have lost my money a total of 430.euros(incl.Bank Trasnf. Fees)...I ended up not giving my son his Christmas present and they are still going STRONG with their SITE....CAN ANYBODY HELP, PLEASE. my Purchase number is : 07121775856 .... Now they just IGNORE me.. HELP PLEASE !!

Tell your bank and see if they will reimburse you. I've got no idea what consumer organisations Portugal has. I'm surprised you did a bank transfer, especially with a site you don't know. In future use a credit card, you at least have a more protection if anything goes wrong.

Edit: I've just looked at the payment page. Chinese bank account???? If you want to use Visa or Paypal "get in touch with us"??? That seals it for me that this is a scam site. There are genuine Chinese sellers but they don't set up websites like this and certainly not in this way. Your only chance is through your own bank otherwise I'm afraid you've lost your money.

Move on and consider yourself having a lucky escape. I don't why anyone would risk buying from such an obviously dodgy looking site. All the points raised in this thread still apply, no address, foreign origin, no consumer protection. Even if anyone did have a good experience it's far too high a risk and you have absolutely no consumer safety net if anything goes wrong unless you use a credit card.
