As a fairly frequent traveller I certainly hope so but I know it divides opinion on here.
So the question is what is our collective best guess as to when travelling from current orange/green countries generally won't require multiple tests when travelling back to the UK ?

Simple measure. Why stop it?0

I think it's here to stay for a while yet - at least most of 2022 - until the vast majority of the world has everything broadly under control. It will just become a normal part of travel and people will get used to doing it. I suspect/hope it will become cheaper and more straightforward to arrange over time though.0

Just been to Northern Ireland. Met a number of people there that chose NI as a destination due to no testing requirement to travel from elsewhere in UK. That's why we chose to go there.0 -
It would be great if they got rid of the return test for fully vaccinated people,as that would normalise things for most travellers. Making the day 2 test a lateral flow will reduce costs - were it me I would say no day 2 test for fully vavvccinated as well, but that may be going a bit far to normality at the moment.Credit card debt - NIL
Home improvement secured loans 30,130/41,000 and 23,156/28,000 End 2027 and 2029
Mortgage 64,513/100,000 End Nov 2035
2022 all rolling into new mortgage + extra to finish house. 125,000 End 20360 -

It's normal in most of the rest of Europe3 -

I would think most people’s stress levels are increased by the antigen test to travel home, rather than the test once you are home. If you’ve got covid you’ve got covid, but better to have it in the comfort of your own home rather than overseas with the extra stress of not knowing when you can actually travel home.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. My prediction is that test before flying will remain, because of the above, but the PCR test on day 2 will be scrapped for those that are fully vaccinated... maybe replaced by antigen test? Certainly there will be a new give for vaccinated people to further encourage take up.
Personally, more interested in what happens to red countries/rules.0
