Sympathies on the lurgy, Ed. My own body seems to keep wanting landing me with various injuries to remind me I'm in my 40s, but I refuse to accept any implication that I might be slowing down. As far as I'm concerned, I'm just getting started!!!

A hellish night with DD2, the last time she woke me up was about 06:00 (after 3-4 other unplanned risings) 😵 I am coughing less.

A very good result at the rugby indeed. Didn't really take the edge off last night's 4:23 sleep, however 🤧 Main lurgy issue is incredibly sore throat and pain in inner ear when swallowing. I don't think it's strep throat, so next guess would be a secondary infection from my cold?
Took the girls to watch The Smurfs at the cinema this morning. £1 tickets, DD1's popcorn and drink and a coffee for me cost 5x what the tickets did! Don't mind too much, it's a rare thing that we don't bring our own snacks, DD2 brought a wee tub of Haribo and a bag of non-union Quavers from home.
- £15.64 to Extension
- £4.29 to Emergency Fund
- Nothing to withdraw from Prolific today, but $16 earned from some smaller AI studies
- SIPP checked and I have breezed past my £600 target by over £500! I blame the recent flurry of Prolific activity 😊 Just a shame the big orange buffoon will have brought sharp falls in our NW for the month…

Oooh … that lurgy sounds similar to what I had last January. It escalated for me in unpleasant ways that I won’t share in case your body is listening 😉, but if you need help, do say and I will let you know how I came to manage it.
I suspect the effects of orange buffoon’s actions are going to be far reaching and long term … 🙄😢KK

It would appear that I have strep throat - hooray - a thing they can treat! Otherwise feeling quite a bit better. I will nip to the pharmacist once the school traffic subsides 😊
Absolutely horrendous scenes in Glasgow last night, luckily there was no direct work impact, just a miracle that nobody was hurt.- £19.49 to Extension
- £3.71 to Emergency Fund
- Waiting on a few studies being approved before a Prolific withdrawal
