FLIGHT BOOKING AND CANCELATIONS THRU TRAVELBAG

My daughter and friend booked a number of International Flights with TravelBag. As CoVid struck and flights were cancelled, the pair returned to the UK. This was over a year ago. Despite our attempts, TravelBag have not refunded either a Thai Airways or Virgin Australia section of the ticket. They blame lack of response from the airlines. However, we have requested information of their dealings with the airlines and have been declined. So we are stuck. TravelBag hide behind the airline and cite them as the reason of no refund todate. Yet we have no claim numbers or details or written updates about what is going on.
Contractually, we are engaged with TravelBag. The flights are outside the UK and/EU. Its over a year waiting for our money. How can we focus these businesses and get someone with ownership to recover our money?

Do you mean that their flights were cancelled or that they returned home because flights were being cancelled and they were concerned they wouldn't get back?

    How did they pay?

The airlines won't deal with your daughter or her friend as they are not their customer, Travelbag is.

If you provide more info. about what they bought, if they were cancelled and how they paid then people will be able to provide more suitable advice.

Their position may be complicated if flights were booked with Virgin Australia as they went in to administration and as I understand it weren't in a position to provide refunds.

whilst involving a third party can often add delays etc, given the two airlines involved here I suspect they would not have received refunds at this point even if they had booked direct
for Virgin Australia it is worth checking whether their travel insurance covered scheduled airline failure https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6275330/virgin-australia-refund-rights-any-help-shared-experiences
for Thai, they have been in the media quite a bit for not refunding and being on the brink of bankruptcy
