How much was my house worth in 1991??

Well - an update at last.
Unfortunately it's not good news - not for me anyway.
My msp wrote to the assessor and then had to write again because they lost the letter.
The assessor wrote back and said they were satisfied that my house was banded correctly. In reference to me informing them of other houses being banded D while mine was E he said he would be investigating those bands. So I'm not sure if it means those other houses are going to be banded E after almost 20years of band D or if he's simply saying that so that he can sound as though he's investigating as a result of my letter. He did haev the cheek to say that he'd spent more than enough time on my case and even suggested that him spending time on my case was causing a backlog. I thought about complaining about that but decided against it.
So after around 2 years of me writing letters and even getting my MSP to write to them they've not budged. I'm still Band E.
Many thanks to all who advised on this thread - especially lincroft.
If any of you need any help/advice/tips on camera equipment then feel free to ask. If anyone who helped wants to buy a print of any of my images then i'd do it for cost.
thanks again
David

Did anything further come about concerning your case ?
Read this thread with interest as i am in a similar position but as of yet have made no submission to the assessor.
Have lived here for 7 years and the only property in the whole postcode which is in band C despite similar properties on either side.0 -
After I received a letter from my MSP stating all they could do was ask that it be looked it (and it was but it didn't change the assessor's mind) I decided that any further letters would simply be a waste of time.
The assessor, whom I still believe tp be wrong, will not change his mind for me if he won't for the MSP.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get my banding changed despite several identical houses within 200m being banded lower, because there were a couple banded the same as mine and the assessor used that as his evidence to counter mine.
I feel mine was/is stronger but that doesn't matter - it's what he feels.
Sorry it wasn't more positive.

Not at all thanks for updating.
For what it is worth i find the situation ridiculous - you have presented evidence and they have dismissed it - a total nonsense IMO.0 -

My thoughts exactly.....but since that didn't change the assessor's mind, I couldn't think of anything else to do so it's been left at that.
