Moving flats during possible lockdown?

I moved out in May 2020 during lockdown one. Solicitors were pushing for exchange/completion and removal companies I contacted for quotes were willing to do the work. Kept social distancing and all was fine.0

we moved during the first lockdown, had exchanged before and completed after lockdown started - roads were nice and quiet0

We moved during one of the lockdowns. Kept out of the way of the removals crew as they loaded the truck, let them know there were bottles of water in the fridge for them that we had sanitised - did the same at the new house (we got there first, put water in the freezer for a bit and then moved to the fridge - it was a very hot day!)0

We moved house, twice, during the last lockdown. From England to Wales, with different rules & very restrictive rules for travel, then back again. It wasn't easy, took greater planning & much more thorough cleaning! But we did it.1

Moved during the second lockdown. Only issue was it was freezing and indoor dining wasn't allow so had no where warm to wait while waiting for the keys.0

I concur. And he has no issue killing people so I'm sure you'll be fine OP.HampshireH said:
Boris has no issue going back on promises and pledges as we have seen.NameUnavailable said:Apart from the first lockdown - as I recall - property transactions/moves were still allowed, so I wouldn't worry. Also Boris pledged that there would be no turning back after the last lockdown and he'd rather see loads die than have to go back on his party line.
But ultimately any lockdown will be based on the data.
Can't imagine it will be the strictest version as it's not no sustainable
The only data lockdowns have been based on to date are potential issues at the polls (popularity) and cronyism so any sensible public health responses are the last of the OP's worries.

As far as I'm aware physicals viewings have been allowed during each lockdown?user1977 said:Even last year I don't think people were actually prohibited from moving (especially not if they'd otherwise be homeless), it was more the practical issues caused by the various parties involved not being set up to suddenly work from home, and things like real-life viewings not being allowed.
Besides, why would your landlord be kicking you out if any new tenants weren't allowed to move in?0 -
No, they were certainly forbidden during the initial lockdown.Tokmon said:

So much so that people were using them as an excuse to travel - no intention of buying but booking viewings in popular holiday destinations to circumvent covid rules.Tokmon said:
