I like that! Well I had an uneventful drive to work, which is just as well as I heard at least 5 reports of accidents on the radio . Apparently people forget they had to drive slowly for ice!

Managed to scary myself by checking my OD account (only £10 left available) and thinking I still have £30 to come out of the account:eek:. Only to realise 5 mins later I had used my main account to pay for that tank :o. Not what I needed at 8.30 this morning!

Hope everyone has a good day x

There has been a lot of that here to. A colleague said she nearly did, but was stopped by some frozen mud. But as she said between the hedge and the car coming towards her, she was going to chose the hedge!

I'm in a really funny mood today, I think it must be the fact I got to wear my funky woolly hat into work this morning!

  • Morning all.

The overdraft STILL hasn't budged

I've decided that instead of worrying about the overdraft this month I am going to use the money budgeted for the overdraft repayments (£400) to clear off the Barclaycard which now has £313.85 on it because of the car, and clear the catalogue which I used to buy my lovely new shoes for Saturday nigtht (and a dress which I haven't confessed to on here yet :o ). I will then start the new year with no credit cards again, and can clear the overdraft in full in January (£900). It will feel better to only have the overdraft plus the 2 old debts rather than the 2 old debts, some of the overdraft, the barclarycard and the catalogue.

That sounds like a really good plan, plus is will be a nice boost to know that you are starting the new year without any credit cards.

  • Keren, men are useless. I remember when I got my lip pierced when I was still living at home... it was 2 DAYS before my dad realised I had a piece of shiny silver metal in my lip!!!

Morning all. keren I thought your hair looked fab. There was an article in the Daily Mail (!) last Thursday about how men and women's vision is different, you know how men look in drawers and cupboards etc & can't find things.? Apparently because the women stayed at home to look after the cave and children, it was more important for them to be aware of immediate surroundings. So their vision is 'wired' for this. Whilst men's vision needed to be able to spot the prey in the distance when they went out hunting and gathering so their vision is better for that.

Yep, it has been nice to be able to use the barclaycard as an emergency card and pay it off in full. I know that if I leave it full like that (the limit is only £320) then something would crop up and I would have nothing to fall back on in an emergency.

This month is an expensive month for the car .... got to tax it as well
