No it's not. Halifax, along with Lloyds Bank and Bank of Scotland, are part of Lloyds Banking Group.Deleted User said:David38473 said:does anyone know if Halifax is apart of RBS (Natwest?)Yes, Halifax is apart from RBS (Natwest)RBS is apart from Natwest too0 -

Apart = not with
A part = withThe space is very important.Halifax is nothing to do with RBS or NatWest.Halifax is very much a part of Bank of Scotland and Lloyds.7 -

Yes indeed, one would think some posters have never heard of Google!Deleted_User said:soulsaver said:Great thread...... showing a lot of confusion in distinguishing two UK banking groups not helped by the fact that last year Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc changed its name to Natwest Group Plc.I suggest anyone still confused reads the following 2 articles:2 -
I always used to get confused with the Bank of Scotland (which owns Halifax) and is in itself owned by Lloyds banking group
AND
The Royal Bank of Scotland, which is a completely separate bank and owned by Natwest. The confusion should cease eventually as the RBS branding is becoming less and less.0 -
