Noise from renovation
Comments

OP, your neighbours are lucky to have. I have been doing up my house as and when since the first lockdown, but since I also work from home, ALL drilling, playing with the dogs (very barky terriers), heavy metal to relax over lunch, hoovering, etc is contained between 12-1pm .. and then again after 6pm if I need to continue a job. It's my house. I am allowed to redecorate, put up shelves and make NOISE, within reason.

Heck we vacuum our house while ours is napping (oh the horror) AND we have mostly solid floors.Floorboards with no flooring on can be very noisy, far worse than laminate even with minimal underlay. Add to that when you're working in a room you're moving around a lot and moving ladders and tools adds to the noise. Moving a vacuum over an uncovered wooden floor can be very noisy. Multiply that by many months it can be very annoying.I suspect the baby would be more relaxed about the noise if the parents were.
