stick it on ebay with an accurate description and £190 starting price. if it isnt beyond saving you should get £500 for it, 205s are going up in value.2

Please don't scrap it! Put it on Ebay or similar with no reserve and a low starting price, someone will come and collect it.0

I'd certainly try it on ebay. Going by completed listings of 205s even a 1.1 3dr base model with the grille, lights, wing and front bumper missing sold for £225!1

As has been stated, a complete 205 is worth good money and very much an up and coming classic , Facebook Market place or ebay will see it find a home quickly and more importantly not drop straight in the crusher.1

Thanks guys, I will definitely advertise it now and see what I can get for it, would be such a shame to just scrap it. I only really kept it all this time due to sentimental reasons-I'm not into cars in general but it was my very first and I did get rather attached to it, kind of silly but looks like it was a good move to keep it this long now.0

Today's Telegraph motoring Q&A (Alex Robbins, not the marvellous and much missed Honest John) has a guy in a similar position, what to do with a 1991 205 diesel that's been standing for 5 years but is in ok nick. The answer is as above, try and sell it as a project, for between £300 & £600.
A diesel 205 might have a bit more value - the 1.6GTi was based on the ordinary shopping 205 but the 1.9GTi (magnificent, I had one...) was built on a diesel body shell to match the engine that the 1.9's was derived from, so a 205 diesel would make a good project to build into a 1.9GTi. I'd put that in The Telegraph but refuse to sign up to it these days.

The quicker versions had a different front subframe, with an extra attachment point for the front lower arms.1
