Utility Warehouse - Worth Doing?

I already have my gas with Utility Warehouse and I am considering moving my electricity over to them (they will give me £50 to do this). I've looked at the cashback card as well - you get 1% on all shopping (higher % on some shops) for a £2 a month fee. Also considering getting the mobile SIM card too. Has anyone moved to utility warehouse for alot of their services + the cashback card?

Put your actual annual consumption figures into a comparison site eg citizens advice or switch with which. Does UW even appear in the top 50 ?

But as a simple customer you do not have to be involved in this - the basic question is what are their rates compared with others

I did all the calculations and they do come far cheapest. I’m on economy 7 and managing to use wast majority at the night rate, since they have cheapest night rate that has the highest weight.
im operating with these annual estimates day 1.600 and night 6400. S2 supply area.
  • Just had a quote from my supplier which has increased by £40 a month to £127 per month (gas elect only ) then a utility warehouse rep called and spent over 2 hours and if I have gas/electric broadband and sim only mobile based on what I am paying now for all He gave me a quote of £116 which I was gobsmacked  Did not want the SIM but said put it in a draw as having it in the bundle made a difference to the unit price of gas/elect he also said the account comes with a card that I top up with my own money and every time I spend I get a discount off my next bill £2 a month is charged for this but is included in the £116 have gone ahead but now having regrets as seems to good to be true especially as quotes from compare the market are coming in at £150 plus for gas/elect only anyone give me any advice on this

Are you sure you did the calculations right? I hope you didn't input your details into the website and go by what they said the monthly cost would be?

Every comparison I've done (for multiple households) UW have never been anywhere near the cheapest and they charge higher rates and then justify it by offering "discounts" for other services and cashback on spending which you can get with other cards anyway.
