Is it? I've never heard anyone refer to Halifax as that.Deleted User said:
Halifax is the the group's 'challenger brand' and trying to compete with Monzo / Starling. Doesn't mean that Lloyds or BOS will follow suit as they're more conservative in market positioning.GTR_King said:That card looks nice but only for children's account for now, wonder how long before all accounts get new card design maybe Lloyds will do the same as well2 -
Is it really? I’ve never heard anyone call it a “challenger brand”!!Deleted User said:

I wouldn’t even think of it as a challenger brand as it’s just like any other high street bank and equally as backward compared to the likes of Monzo and Starling, Revolut to name just a few.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -

Obviously ten years old and just their view (although there’s no official definition of what a challenger brand is)2 -
Lloyds debit card is already good. All banks redesign their cards from time to time, but Lloyds have just launched a Cashback credit card, and the only difference to their existing credit card is the colour, -it's grey rather than green. That doesn't indicate to me that they're planning to change their card designs any time soon.GTR_King said:
If lloyds do new cards then they gotta make them good, I am sure most banks will change them soonI hope not, I like the existing Lloyds debit card designs.0 -
The only one of Lloyds I ever hated was this one.

I hated that design too. It became out of date the minute the Olympics was over.dr_adidas01 said:The only one of Lloyds I ever hated was this one.

I would say Halifax / Lloyds are the best of the dinosaur banks.dr_adidas01 said:Is it really? I’ve never heard anyone call it a “challenger brand”!!

Their online banking is way ahead of HSBC, NatWest, Nationwide... not sure about Santander and Barclays as I've never had current accounts with them.
EPICA - the best symphonic metal band in the world !0 -
I find Lloyds & Halifax online Banking easier than Barclays but find Barclays app is just as good a Lloyds & Halifax App,
Hope most banks changer their debit/MasterCard designs to incorporate it without the magnetic strip see what happens0 -
Received a new design of card for my Reward account (opened last week):
