Issues with British Gas

There are many errors that can occur reading meters. E.g missing decimal point, incorrect units, reading in kwh rather than m3.
Can you post a picture of your meter with latest meter reading on here please. (Not your ihd, but the actual meter)
This was the last reading I sent them0 -
Yes they were cubic metersReed_Richards said:The OP used 31 units of gas in the 30 days from 19th July to 18th August. It seems more credible that these units really were cubic metres than anything else I can think of.0 -
Yep, afraid the usage is correct. You've been supplying the correct readings, but thinking yourself they were kwh rather m3 (which need to be converted to kwh), hence the bill you received was correct.cornish_donkey said:

With regards to making a saving and switching out, have a look at zog, they tend to be amongst the cheapest and have good customer service. However the rates you quoted are not bad in todays prices, so as long as its a fixed and not a variable tariff I don't see you getting a huge amount less, but obviously plug in your usage into a comparison website and see.0 -
Thank you. Would you say that’s an average amount of gas for this time of year?0

Your reading from the meter is correct.
A little high for a summer month but I don't know how many adults taking showers, gas cooking etc. Mine is 15 m3 for 2 OAPsNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
I used 35m3 of gas between july-august (1 month) and thats a family of 4. So your usage seems ok.cornish_donkey said:Thank you. Would you say that’s an average amount of gas for this time of year?0 -
