Does the OP have legal cover with their home insurance, or part of a package bank account or similar?
This would be easy for them to conclude satisfactorily.

Click on the cog at the RH side of the blue bar at the top of your post. Unfortunately someone has copied it but don't worry I don't think you'll get shot.
Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.

Click on the little cog on the top right of your post and choose Edit.

(I've also edited my post that I quoted yours with)
  • I will have to do some research on AOS. Never done such a thing before. As for home insurance we have family legal protection. I have also been told I could get free legal advice and given Solicitors.lawsociety.org.uk
  • Now that I've seen the advert I can't see anything in it that represents any misinformation on the sellers part, just wait for the CCCF if it ever comes and take it from there.

I wonder if that letter is a copy & paste of a previous one they've used with a dealer and the law firm were not involved in drafting it

  • I will not respond as stated by the majority. Not sure where to start with an AOS. Any advice?

No advice really needed yet unless you receive a CCCF in the next few days (which I highly doubt) but if you wanted a heads up on how to deal with any Court claim you might?? receive then take a good look at the parking sub forum, plenty of advice on there on what to do and when to do it and all the acronyms regarding Court proceedings are on there as well.
  • Thank you everyone for all your help. I will update this forum with any further correspondence I receive.
