How do you know the SAR references aren't the same on every ticket? Or that the same references aren't reused every month or two?
    Good point. Thank you!
  • How long should it take for the status to be updated on moneyclaim once the defence has been emailed to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk? Defence was emailed 12/09/2021 but no update on moneyclaim as of yet. The defence is due tomorrow so is there anything I need to do to ensure the defence was received?

Did you receive an email auto receipt back from the CCBC ?

If yes , then only they know how busy they are , but within a few days is the norm and you have given them one day only , so keep checking MCOL daily this week and phone if not done by Thursday

Also forward the defence email to the claimant or their lawyers if they are using legals , too , so to both

So do that and check your inbox folder and spam folder for the email auto receipt

I would not have emailed it on a Sunday , I would have done it after 9am yesterday and checked for the receipt email

    Received auto receipt. Thank you

I can only find these emails - litigation@excelparking.co.uk and info@dcblegal.co.uk - are these ok to forward the defence to?

Danielle@ and paul@ also work for DCBLegal.  No one said to email to the Claimant parking firm if they are using a solicitor.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Or their lawyers if they are using legals !!
  • Thanks everyone for the advice so far.

I've not yet received a Directions Questionnaire since submitting my defence 3 weeks ago. Is this normal or should I be following this up and, if so, who should I follow it up with please?

DQ comes after the claimant has reviewed the defence and decided (within 28 days) whether or not to pay the hearing fee and proceed? If so then you don't know when the C received your defence from the CCBC - you're still well within such a time scale.

Thank you - is that 28 working days?

Calendar days ... but it's somewhat arbitrary because you don't know when the C received your defence! ;)

I'm also not sure how rigorously the CCBC enforce such time scales - I suspect Not Very and the C has a lot of latitude for a late response and paying the hearing fee. 🙄
