    Morning

Another cold day here and we have freezing fog too.  My cat smelt the air and quickly ran back inside and has now settled  himself on one of the girls beds

Half day working for me today and usually would take myself off to see mum but the roads are still bad where I live in view of yesterdays snow and now ice, I dont really fancy navigating in those conditions!

Im in my work office tomorrow and Thursday this week 1 extra day than usual so will have 2 lots of costs to factor in my budget.  Will make sure I remember to make some lunch to take into work and my latte sachets instead of spending on the discounted costa machine (I may succumb to 1 though!).

Prolific still a little sparse but have completed a couple today and have £2.71 cleared. Nowhere near enough to be cashing out so will persevere this afternoon now that Im not going to see mum.

Payday tomorrow and seems like a long wait since I was last paid but its the usual time so think its because of Christmas and New year which is making it seem alot longer.

In terms of debt I have paid off 17.5% so far this year on the balance of £2666, Sainsburys DD is due towards end of month and then my usual DD's to Lloyds and Virgin beginning of February, the latter will be paid off in full by 1st week of February. When I get paid tomorrow Im going to use an additional £200 to throw at debt too.

Oh I need to go shopping as we have run out of bread/rolls, milk, butter and eggs, sandwich meat, crisps and biscuits too so my left over cash from last week of £24.81 will be used.  Hoping by shopping at Ald! I will still have some left over to put into EF2 and Penny challenge.

Have a great day and stay warm!

    Morning

I'm just sat on the train going into Leeds. I'm working from the office today and tomorrow. Bit of a shock to the system to be honest, it's blinking cold and untreated roads to station were treacherous!

I've paid off a further £200 to debt today, sending £35 to Lloyds CC and £165 to Virgin CC,  which now sees Virgin CC paid off a little sooner than I originally planned.  2 down 2 to go!

I have my usual payments to all 3 cards of £300 still due at end of this month and 1st week of February,  so I will snowball the £117 I would usually send to Virgin and add to Lloyds payment making that £231 a month going forwards.  I will also send all or part of my original loan payments to debt too. Still all on track to be debt free come 18th April.

I've received my payrise and welcome it is too. Will certainly be utilised in my budget this month.

That's about all for now. Stay warm!!

Hi all, hope a good day for everyone today?  Monday is a really busy day for me work wise on Teams calls!

Thanks for all your comments on the credit card for Virgin being paid off, really appreciated and spurs me on!

I have completed 2 really good paying surveys on Prolific already today and they have cleared, so sent £7 to Lloyds CC and the 7p change to my SPC. Now below £2100 outstanding.

I have been crunching some figures this weekend around what I will have spare come April/May after clearing my debt.  Im happy and extremely grateful to say its a huge chunk, which will go towards my sinking/saving funds.  There is so much I want to do, and from May latest I'm going to be able to start saving for those things

My goals for 2023 are the following:

    Downstairs Bedroom - £1000
    Fencing/Hedge Planting - £1000
Our Bedroom - £3000 (This is possible, but if not should have a good start to the fund by the end of 2023)
Kitchen - £10000 (im likely not going to be able to achieve this but would like to start saving something up during 2023)

The first thing will be to sort out our downstairs bedroom.  Its currently a dumping ground but I want to turn this into a 'chill out' room my daughters can use when they have friends over.  Its on the ground floor (our living space is on the 2nd) and so we wont hear a huge amount of noise and bouncing on the ceiling from their bedrooms on the 3rd floor from doing their tikt0Ks!  Not a too spendy room, removal of fixed wardrobes, new bed settee as I will need to keep this room for anyone stopping over, new chest of draws and TV (we already have this), lick of paint and a blind.

Im so looking forward to becoming debt free, by end of first week in February I will have brought the balance down to at least £1800, hopefully more.  85 days and counting!

Oh, almost forgot...should hopefully be deciding where to go for our summer holiday this year as my sister and BIL are coming to stop over.  It will be in the motorhome again in the UK, I cant justify a week abroad during school summer holidays for over £3000 self catering!

    Thats about all for now
