The accelerated method is just my term for a focus fund where I have some spare cash every month and I fund that pot until fully funded. I will try and find my post for you which explains it a little better. Shell x

To me, the best thing about the diaries board is the way we all take inspiration from one another and then adjust things to fit our own lives/situations!
I too am adopting fabtastic as a word I think! Me and a previous boss coined "anti-sociable" as a word a few years ago - it's that feeling when you're quite happy to spend time with others, you just don't want to have to put in much effort to do so!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Morning All
Not long now until Christmas! Im feeling horrible too, started with a nasty cough and a cold has come out today, feeling very sorry for myself! I have been in bed from around 7 last couple of nights and dosed myself up.
I have been sending PAD's to my Virgin CC and this is now under £400, im hoping by January Pay, I will have this paid off. In terms of when I look to have my debt paid off in full there is only 117 days left, I so cannot wait to be debt free, its been a very long, winding road!
Prolofic seems to have slowed down now too, quite possibly due to holidays, I have 65p cleared and £4.65 pending, so Im hoping to have that cleared before the end of the year and will send at least £5 to Virgin CC.
Thats about all for now,

Morning All and no update for a while, Ive been off things recently due to a cough that just will not shift (Not Covid) and all the shenanigans of Christmas and New Year!
New year and new start too for many of us. I start the year with £2666 of debt (Down from £10752.40 from this time last year) which Im still planning on paying in full by April providing nothing serious happens!
I have also volunteered to run the thread for 2023 to pay all debt off by Christmas PAY ALL YOUR DEBT OFF BY XMAS 2023 — MoneySavingExpert Forum so anyone wanting to have some focus this year are welcome to join! Its started off busy and hopefully this will continue. As of today there are 40 members and a total pledge of £265,328 has been made by members with a fantastic £3683 already paid off that! Even when I hope to pay my debt off in full by April (105 Days), I will continue to run the thread for others still on their journey as I feel something like this thread keeps you focussed and in turn determined.
Im off today and tomorrow as I only had 1 working day off during the Christmas and New year break (I was off bank Hols). I actually got alot done during that time work wise, finishing lots of things off, making new spreadsheets for my new 121 target figures.
I almost forgot that we will be getting a 5% pay rise this month too which my company are granting early this year due to the spiralling costs of living. This compared to my 2021 increase of just 2% is a vast improvement, especially that the company I work for is a financial one and most employees have been struggling!
I think thats about all for now! Good luck to all in 2023 on your debt free journeys!
