Debt and Budget (Reset) plan

Hi @LittleMissDetermined I'm so far behind on the 1p challenge but moving some of my spending to cash now allows me to send spare change to the challenge.  If it was sat in a virtual pot I think I'd end up using it to pay off debt 🤣

Like yourself,  I'd like to build this up as a treat for me to reward myself for the hard work at reducing my debt. I'm never going to hit the full amount this year but anything I can send to the challenge is a bonus!

Morning all.

Up early for me today. Had early night last night and feel alot better for it!

Final day of my weekly budget before I reset tomorrow for week 4 of my paycheck. Account is very low but I'm still clawing back the deficit from my May budget 😬

Usual Direct Debit has come out for Lloyds CC today for £114 & together with my other overpayment I have sent a total of around  £225 to that card over the last month. Happy this balance is now starting with a 1!  Declared to Payment a day thread too. Will also send £5 PAD to Lloyds CC from part of my profit on the side hustle I have kept aside for debt. Need to start working on my new uplifted minimum payment to keep me on track to becoming debt free sooner! 🤞

Hoping to get back on with Prolific again today after not completing any surveys this week due to being super busy with work.

I'll be keeping an eye on Prolific too today. I used my receipt snapping amazon vouchers to order a USB switcher so I can click a button and use the same keyboard for work and my own laptop. Fingers crossed we get some studies dropping in! 

Well done on the Lloyds balance! It's always great to get to the next £1k mark  I am curious about your side hustle

@LittleMissDetermined thats a good idea.  I just normally keep my personal Laptop open next to me and keep glancing every so often.

My side hustle.....I did say it wasnt a regular thing, but I tried Matched Betting.  I can certainly say it was a nail biting feeling/situation to be in , and it did look to work with a good profit. I only committed to the intro period and then closed out when it finished.

I actually tried downloading some receipt apps you recommended to @Keedie, unfortunately there is a waiting list for Snap my eats and registration is closed for Storewards, but hopefully they will allow me to join soon.

I have heard of matched betting but I have never tried it as I don't have the attention span to read the rules! I know some people have made a lot from it, but I don't know if I could be brave enough. 

Shame about the app waiting lists, I've had them for years now and always refer to them as 'free money'

Just noticed from logging into Prolific that I completed the first part of a 4 part survey last week and the 2nd one has just popped up.  A good earner too, £1 x 4 surveys and then a bonus of £4 when I have completed all 4.  I have £1.74 cleared in Prolific so far with £1.77 pending so need to find some more surveys where I will receive at least £1.50 to make a cash out, fingers crossed!  Im eyeing my next overpayment to Lloyds CC already

Absolutely brilliant news regarding your Lloyds balance being in the £1's now!!!! Such a fantastic overpayment this period!

Wish I could do Prolific surveys at work but its a monster open plan office and I sit right on the aisle so 100's walk past me everyday

Thanks @Squirrelz92 I am certainly very happy with the balance on that Lloyds card but still work to do!

Thats a shame that you work in the office, do your work not offer a hybrid way of working at all?  Have you tried to look on Prolific when you get home/in the evening? sometimes they do add them during the evening although I think there will be alot less.

Sadly its all working from the office. Wish it would change but I think it's just how the business is. Have yet to experience working from home so i am very jealous of those that get to I do look at Prolific in the evening but they are few and far between. The few that have cropped up are lengthy ones requiring a camera and microphone and I dont have time for those with cooking tea and housework to do x

Thats a real shame, I love working from home to be honest.  I only have to travel into city once a week and in all honesty ive not done that for a couple of weeks now.  Have you tried any of the other survey sites?  I think there are several links to survey sites from a post on MSE if my memory serves correctly?
