    Afternoon @shell16 :)

I would love to see more of the UK and a motorhome is the perfect way to do it. Perhaps its something I will look into when the kids are a bit older! Love how cheap it makes a UK holiday compared to the costs of going abroad!

Isn't it awful how much us parents need to save now to be able to afford every item of school uniform? The need to now have logo'd uniform makes it so much more difficult to fund as they can charge whatever they please! Are you not eligible for the funding towards school uniform? I wish I was :(

Sounds like you have a great plan in place after finding an idea you like regarding the sinking funds!

    Hi @Squirrelz92

Hope you are ok?  Motorhomes are wonderful but really expensive, one thing they do hold is their value though!  Finally finish paying ours off in November which is the Lloyds Loan.

We realised we had much more of a break in the motorhome when our 2 were younger (5 and 6), they wanted to go the park and meet other children.  We actually found a really good site with an excellent onsite park, so we pitched right in front of it and could watch them play, we were so relaxed!  Seeing the Uk is great too, just wish we had a bit more guaranteed weather!

School uniforms are scandalously priced and really unfair.  Where I live there is only 1 place that does the uniform so Im pretty lacking on other alternatives and being the only shop as you say can literally price at what they want!

Im hoping the plan works, it should do

    Hi @LittleMissDetermined

Sinking funds are effectively savings for larger purchases. Dealt the same as savings with a regular amount put away.

    Morning!

Cloudy but still warm its 25 degrees in my bedroom today where I work but feels quite cool so not as horrible as yesterday working, plus Im on my usual half day today.  Lots to do though due to upcoming half year 121 and not started prep yet :grimace:

PAD of £3.65 sent to Lloyds CC today and I have £3.22 pending in Prolific nothing cleared due to cashout yesterday.   Need a further £35.99 in order to meet new payment on Lloyds CC as a minimum but im hopeful I will send more again like last month.

If I carry on with the same overpayments I will hopefully (fingers crossed) pay off sooner than the new plan to pay Lloyds by June next year, hoping will be around Feb or March time.  Providing I can do that I can start to tackle the Sainsburys CC as this will be the last CC where I will be sending at least £355 a month in view of snowball and again hope to clear by July next year....all being well debt free in next 12 months, thats the goal anyway!

Also realised my signature wasnt right in that the totals didnt add up!  Now corrected as I forgot I had started with a larger balance on Virgin and paid that off before doing a balance transfer again!

Im off to make a cup of tea and then start back from my break.
