And for anyone concerned, just remove the Ethanol completely. A small amount of effort required, but it is easy and effective.
...then look surprised when you've effectively paid 11% more for your petrol, for no tangible benefit bar assuaging paranoia.

Messing about with petrol to remove ethanol isn't a good  idea.

If you don't want E10 buy supermarket superunleaded.

Depends if you can use the ethanol afterwards for other purposes...  maybe not in cocktails  :*
I need to think of something new here...

I rather suspect there's a hefty crossover between the ethanol paranoiacs and the supermarket petrol paranoiacs.

It may damage the fuel pipe in your petrolmower/strimmer/chain saw.

If it does damage fuel pipes etc on petrolmower/strimmer/chain saw how can I sort this so it does not happen?

Drain the fuel and run the carb dry before storing.

Replace the ancient fuel pipe with new.

Not unless it's ancient or a bit cheap and nasty. Anything made in the last decade by anybody reputable should be just fine.

What about my 23 year old mower with a Briggs an Stratton engine that is still working perfectly ( I have just stocked up with 10 litres of E5)

It's not a great plan to leave even our current E5 in your garden tools over the winter, anyway. It's always been strongly recommended to let them run out on the last use of autumn.
I have never done that in the 23 years I have had a petrol mower, never had a problem

Since Briggs and Stratton are an American firm, and the US has had E10 as their default fuel for many years...
