"Can I get the money if I’ve already switched to Nationwide?

This offer is only available once, so you if you use the promotion and switch you won’t be able to do it again. The terms and conditions also say you won’t be eligible again even if they withdraw the offer and launch it again at a later date.

However if you received £100 via the referral offer that ran until early 2020 you can still use this offer. The same goes for anyone who switched in and didn’t receive any switching cash."

The above is taken from www.becleverwithyourcash.com - but until we see full T&C`s, I am not sure if myself and OH will qualify because we did the "refer a friend" offer to each other a few years ago and received £100 x 4. From the above quote it seems as though it will be possible. We will know tomorrow!

I had hoped (optimistically ....) that it might have been another Santander-style switch bonanza,  as I'm trying to cut down the number of accounts and we have a few that could be switched, but I also had noticed that it was a one time thing only.  Shame but given we've been ruled out of all the recent switch offers then something's better than nothing.

It will be interesting to see how the T&Cs treat 2 separate sole accounts (ie husband and wife separate accounts) being switched into a NW joint account. However, it would seem to easy to solve that one by opening new sole NW accounts each anyway.

I await the full T&Cs with interest.

"Those who already hold a current account with Nationwide will not be eligible for either incentive"

    Updated today :)https://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/saving/article-9898143/Nationwide-launches-cash-bribe-current-account-switchers.html
"For those who already have a Nationwide current account, they can still benefit, but they'll have to switch a current account over from another provider."
  • I would have gladly sacrificed one of my Virgin Money accounts, if I didn't have to do the dance with direct debits.

As it stands, I am likely to pass.

How long does it take from setting up a new direct debit before it shows in the list when you switch account?

I have an m&s account, obviously running out of time (31 August), but now realise my old Dds have lapsed.

I know it's 7 working days to switch and was hoping the DDs might show in a few days.

If course I don't even know if m&s will allow them to be set up, though I see no T&C to stop this.

I know people have mentioned 10 days but I thought eg paypal show almost instantly but payments cannot be claimed for a while.

what a stroke of luck, I was waiting for any available switch to get rid of the M&S I have that's gotta be closed, and as it happens the "last minute fall back option" was you just switch it into my Nationwide anyway as it's really easy to do that
  • Looking to transfer my Tesco Bank current account over to Nationwide but don't have any 'active' direct debits.

Any quick way to set these up and for them to be active in time ?

    Thanks in advance

This is discussed many times, also on the first page of this post reply#5 from PRAISETHESUN
Carities taking £1, feel free to give more if you can (Amnesty, UNICEF, PDSA - all taking £1)

Edit:- Beaware of switching Teco bank as I have read multiple times that they are not processing switches as they are really overwhelmed with all the requests.  Chek with them before switching

Many thanks, have applied to switch from HSBC to NW.  I will miss the coin machine in HSBC @ Christmastime but £125 will pay towards a short break for me.
