T-shirt inappropriate for work?

Good job! I'll let my husband know that it's totally acceptable for him to get a t-shirt printed up to wear to work with "My Mum Was A Nazi" emblazoned across the front. It's factually correct and doesn't suggest any party political allegiance on my husband's part, so all good thereJack_bauer24 said:Update: I wore my gay t-shirt yesterday on my last day as the cleaner who told me to remove it and passed me a plain t-shirt. she wasn't in yesterday, thank god. All other cleaners don't mind my t-shirt, it was just her!

Reminds me of a tournament a few years ago, world cup or euro dont recall which. There was a player with his name on his back and the commentator said something along the lines of - " I cant see him signing for a UK team"
- his name:
"PONCE"

Other people may not have said anything to you, but may tell the person who told you previously not to wear it. That could then get fed back to the agency. They may not want to give work to a person who seems intent on deliberately antagonising other staff and ignoring instruction.

The poster has experience of that.Sea_Shell said:Well you seem determined to poke the employment bear with a stick, to see if it will bite.
One day it might just take your arm off!!
If you're determined to "push back" against any rules, then be prepared to be unemployed.2 -
To be honest, I don't want to work for them anymore as I don't want to see that woman again, I can't stand her after telling me to remove my t-shirt when she wasn't the manager, she phoned this woman up from another building which wasn't far from where I was working, so the other woman came to the building to bring a plain t-shirt.. I am just glad she wasn't in yesterday so I didn't have to see her on my last day. So all good! I don't care if they don't offer me anymore cleaning shifts for that company.TELLIT01 said:Other people may not have said anything to you, but may tell the person who told you previously not to wear it. No one can tell me what I can or can't wear if they not my managers. Simple as that!0 -
Yes, they can.Jack_bauer24 said:

It's not just working for that end client that is the concern.Jack_bauer24 said:

The agency may just decide it is too much bother to place you in assignments with any end client.
Also, presumably, you can only wear the t shirt with the "nobody knows" statement once as, by the time of second wearing, the statement ceases to remain truthful.

If employees like this genuinely exist, I might genuinely start to sympathise with agencies4
