dawnybabes said:I’ve just joined a local gym as a ‘student’ too 😙. I’m breaking mine into cost per use - this month I’m up to £2.59 a use - I’m aiming for £2 - Still got a week to go …..
I will borrow that
so far one day use so £380
I asked my friends if they could see any difference in my skin (bearing in mind one of the first things my text ex (new name for him) said was 'you have amazing skin') they said I do look extra glowy and as if I have very expensive good make up on - I just slapped my normal tinted moisturiser .... so high hopes here for looking 16 in a few months with this led home mask (started using it 10 days ago)
I cant seem to get ahead of my washing up... I wash and it grows on the drying board .. i tidy away .. then I wash again ..
the defrost soup was tasty for lunch especially with fresh dill and I steamed kale and cavo nero, fried up some roast chicken with one of those l*dl rice flavoured pouches. and some of my new kidney bean houmous - the extra lemon helped it become zingy...DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)

I think washing up definitely does multiply if you do a lot of cooking from scratch! Some days I feel like I don't do anything else 😂😂
Well done on the MB dosh!2 -
Enjoy the gym. Good luck with the minimalism goal too. I've cleared so much from my house this year I still can't believe it. Still plan to let more go so I have more confidence I can move to a smaller space.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Personally, I think washing up reproduces if you leave it for more than half an hour - if I clear up as I go, it's fine. If I turn my back on it, more appears.

I have a dishwasher. I wouldn't want to do without now - although I still sometimes let it build up!
I still haven't necessarily found the house. But that could be because my actual current house is fabulous - I just wish it wasn't overlooked to the rear and that it was in a different location. Like a beautiful, affordable estate house in the hills and mountains - a tiny ask I feel...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hello LWAP! I lost you over the summer, glad to see you again
I'm really wondering about your home-based skin treatments - I could really do with that myself, though £80 ... I wouldn't use it often enough (I haven't unpacked the electric toothbrush I bought last month on the dentist's recommendations. I'm not good with this stuff!).
And as for a dishwasher - I finally bought one in 2010, when I moved here, but it's my house, not rented, which makes a difference, as you say. I definitely wouldn't be without one now, if money ever got really tight I'd rather give up my tv licence than my dishwasher 🤣
Love your savings goal - you can do it!2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -
@themadvix I can see that
yes I yearn for one but I am in a rental and would need to pay to move plumbing pipes - my neighbour was selling one earlier in year but the extra cost ..
I also have loads of gold plates and china - not dishwasher friendly ..
I will wait til I buy - but argh these dishes .. especially as I cook a lot@Karmacat - good to be back with you all!I am with you - if it involves effort I won’t do it - borrowed my sisters face thing that made me push the implement in areas of my face and I never used it - too much effort.. A mask though you just stick on and carry on or watch tvso I have been v consistent using it and honestly every morning my skin glows, and I look less tired - I am completely sold - 10 days in
My friend has been using a led light mask that cost only £13 for the last year and raves about it - and had great results / he said you don’t need to pay £80
I have just ordered 2 as gifts
they are now sold out but will dm you link for when thru come back In if you want?Or look at Temu - where I got it from - they all largely the same
to be honest any led light mask will do that has red light at least.
mine was more as it has a remote, more lights and also has near infrared rays which the expensive £280 current body mask does
however my friend has had amazing results with his £13 one - his skin looks like 20 something and in his 50s like me
you can then use cheaper creams and serums !
(you use the mask on a clean face then add the serums and creams after and they penetrate more deeply)I have not yet got the face wand yet - that maybe more of a pain as you need to wave it around your face once a week - plus it’s radio frequency derma abrasion so need a gel on as well to use to smooth over
at least with a mask you just stick in on and wash up if using yellow lights or lie down with the red as they are stronger -
if you don’t use it consistently then it won’t work though - so please for me unpack your electric toothbrush - they are like 2000x the cleaning power of a manual One and dental expenses are not mseand I now daily floss .. not sure why we are not all taught about flossing as kids !
Feeling great after my gym yesterday so will be going today - feel v motivated and happy - so my £380 payment is already paying dividends
so work now and gym (chest and triceps) and maybe a swim .. and practice new side hustle later
happy Monday all let’s get focusedDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
