“ Goal 5: First this month August I finish my programme and launch and market it - earn money from that (£300 /month = goal but this is a figure plucked out of the air) THEN decide if I need to apply for another part time freelance job or focus on selling the programme. NOPE! I lost all the info/writing as computer died but do have an audio version I could re transcribe”This has been on your lists for a while and seems like it might be a blocker? I wonder if it would be worth paying someone else to do the transcription from the audio while you focus on where your greatest ‘value-add’ lies? I know of a good audio transcription typist who works remotely if it would help.KKAs at 15.07.25:

Great to have some income.
Sorry you are still owed money. Keep chasing.
I like KK's idea on the transcription.
You have achieved a huge amount over the last two years. You are goal orientated and I'm sure you can achieve your goal if you commit to it for you.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I am fine now - apart from the odd moment of anger on how it went down - but i just feel repulsed now thinking about his behaviour - now looking full steam ahead on my plans for my future.. I am so pleased I am an independent woman with an education and career and choices..
@savingholmes @KajiKita yes great idea on the transcription. I have thought about playing it into my Mac book Pro (in a cupboard to minimise noise!) and getting the software to try to transcribe - but then I will have to check it ... hmmm so maybe an actual person could ...will have a think on cost - maybe send me the contact?
@Cheery_Daff my next lot of DIY classes were halted as they wanted the tutor to teach the evening classes this term for free!! Yes I am still owed loads - I need to get it straight as looking at the housing market me buying needs to be in the next 6-12 months max I think
I am just back from a weekend in the Welsh hills - a friend has bought a large place (so many rooms!) so we had a lovely party and a BBQ one night - and a dinner out £70 per head for 3 courses plus wine ... of course people were then having £20 cocktails after and extra cost petit fours which I cant eat as GF but bill just got split between us all ended up £116 per head apart from the person who didnt drink. ouch ,. I paid up but not cheap and always the issue with big meals
I also flew in the day before from a sudden 5 day business trip - I got stuck at a US airport due to UNITED Airlines complete inefficiency and I got to spend 8 hours from 10.40pm to 06.40 am in a united customer services queue to get a new flight! No more flying UNITED ever especially if it involves a transfer,. I am mid complaint but US airlines have different compensations than UK/EU so ...
so my budget for Sept is a bit messed up due to constant travel for both work and play and now seeing family.
Either way I do know I have spent over £260 in Sept in entertainment alone - not counting the work trip .. so will keep a close eye on next 12 days...
food budget also a bit blown.

KajiKita said:Oooh, intrigued by the LED face mask. I am getting a touch jowly - it would be good to know if it might help with that. 😊
And well done on the ISAs and the student discounts. The latter are flipping useful as they pop up in all sorts of random places.

Apparently it takes a few months to see real changes on wrinkles and collagen but if people have acne etc or bad skin then rapid results can be seen as well as glowing skin, smaller pores etc.
I have a small sun spot I think is getting smaller already. I can do the washing up in mine as it has a remote but my skin is loving it so far - it has near infra red rays as well as colours red, blue, yellow ... My mum is also trying it - she has a bit of rough skin from an old dog injury so we seeing if it clears that up - you can clean it and its waterproof. she did laugh a lot when she first saw it though..
I have yet to find a place to use my student card but may join my gym again at the weekend at a much better rate

Just TT £1 as all my bank accounts are flat
my cc is high from my travel but most is payable back from the trip - definitely feel a bit unhealthy though
was just reading a mfw diary (v late trains back to london) where she has a 33 month count down to mfw & counting the cash each month)
I will borrow this idea - I think I need a 13 months countdown to Oct 2024 and see how I can get this deposit up if I don’t buy before
This will hopefully light a fire under me
I have started looking at RM - I really don’t want to spend more than 450k but I will need to

I'd want freehold and garden too. I think the problem is leasehold can trap you - and it's an on-going cost. The whole cladding debacle would put me off any flats. You're not in control. I appreciate not everyone has that choice. Some flats give you a share of the freehold which seems better to me.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Here “up North” leaseholds are generally OK on older houses. Never paid more than £5 pa and they are for 999 years( or the remainder of) . On the newer houses they are not so favourable.
Always worth asking the questions before ruling out leaseholds completely.6
