I’m so very, very pleased to read that you are standing your ground with Big Client. It reads like you are come to the end of your patience with them …. Well done.

Super news that you have covered all your costs and all work going forward now will be profit. Do you have a rough idea of how much you are hoping to earn from the remaining events on this trip?

I’m beyond impressed that you even remembered to renew your contents insurance when so busy and so removed from home etc. 😂😉😊👏

Hope it all continues to go well 😊 Is there some downtime for you, in the midst of the maelstrom of the exciting work and networking and events you are describing?

I note my first journal entry was 11 August 2021
So I will do a 4 year update then Monday  with figures ...

Note to self : No home yet bought ;) 4 years in and still here in my cheaper flat. Good news is  programme has finally started moving forward as live workshops, I will be building the website etc on my return.

Once the invoices get cleared then I still may not be house hunting I think til next summer - I will have more clarity  at the end August.
I will need to get a new contract though first.. I still have the vision of not having to be a monkey and jump through a banks hoops and pay cash instead but given pension investments etc are so much better, and I want a small outer London pad with outdoor space ... I have may settle for a larger deposit (currently 23-25% of the flat I want to get)  so as to jump through less hoops.

However briefly - i will update on Monday

House savings 11/08/21   Savings £67,744.85   now approx   £115k plus a lot of open invoices from this current work and old invoices...  Given what I am owed and life its ok.

SIPP     11/08/21        £26,731.30   now Aug 8th approx £72,633 so tripled that - got 53.99% growth according to Van*uard fogures but who knows how they are calculating that..

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

So agree Watty sometimes it’s worth learning s new skill but sometimes if self employed it pays to pay for expertise and just get things done.

Hey Laplan! Well done!! You have done so well.

Loved the line where you described what you are looking for in a home. You seem to have a better idea what you are looking for now which I think is half the battle.

    Good luck!!
