tx all for your concern and prayers re my friend.. No new news is good in this situation.
Fully steaming ahead of the legal route now - too late to turn back. I am fine and am clear, never in my life done anything like this - My gut instinct though has been reconfirmed by my further digging so my gut and head are standing together.
Good news is there is a group of us - we will stand together and support each other.
£104.98 spending on video doorbells - first cost of this case - I just feel safer and can take them with me when I move. Plus I will do the annual subs £80 after the 30 day free trial finishes (same cost as Ring) Its also good for when I travel.
Just bought a blink doorbell and 2 indoor cameras - was looking at the ring one but the battery life is longer on blink which is important (and its cheaper than Ring) - Checked out my friends Ring doorbell that just arrived but another friend had recommended Blink and the their review of battery life swung it vs my mums/friends on the Ring.
Was going down the Amaz route of the doorbell and monitor and cameras but I would have had to pay for delivery so gone via CB and then Arg*s - I actually also got blink indoor cameras - £34.99 for 2 vs amaz best deal £21.99 for one and even the Amaz big bundle with the doorbell as well wasnt cheaper, it would have been more by quite a bit.
Not a scheduled planned expense but a sensible one so moved pots around..
I will have to pick them up but I am out to gym in morning anyway
I already have an alexa.
Had heating on most the day, and had the heated throw with me. Hoping you all are keeping warm
Job search
Applied for 10 normal contract jobs today and had a thought about a type of contract work that I do a few weeks a year for the last decade so I have lots of experience, but I always just work with one recruiter and wait for them to call me, So tomorrrow I am calling the other similar recruiters (its a v specialist field), introduce myself and talk to them specifically about adding my Cv to the pile - it be short term contracts but well paid.. I have released the energy from worry into next steps.
I do have some stuff to prep for this contract work anyway, this week as got a new short contract but be interested to compare day rates etc,
My wifi contract (2 yr) coming to the last payment this month but dont want to go for a new one year contract unless I can move the box with me.. However my current cost £33.xx monthly is cos I got a deal 1st year free, then paid for 2nd year. so need to see what deals are there.
2024/2025 reviews .goals - still not managed to do it, was meant to and felt ready to tackle but prioritised the job search and then the flat stuff got in the way
I am having to pull a load of info re flat etc - I am tracking my time.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I am having to pull a load of info re flat etcThis ^^ is me too! Except my interruption was Mr KK’s back issue. I’m interested that we are both having the same experience. It’s like the Universe is holding us back until we are quite sure of what we are committing ourselves too! 😉😂 One thing I have noticed is the things that I have committed to, mentally, are already having more flow than usual / before. As a result I am planning a ‘workstation’ in the conservatory (door nearest to the Garden and especially the veggie patch) which will have to hand the key tools and information (e.g. on succession sowing) to help me do better out there this year. I have never come up with this idea before.KKAs at 15.07.25:

The amount of people I talk to through video doorbells 🤦 Creeped me out the first time3

i love my video doorbell. Got it with a recording part because of PPH and it was so reassuring to have (although I believe for a week he was using a jammer from work but I called him out saying I was going to send video footage of his car to the company and share my recordings and it began working again. Oh my I am thankful every day it is over.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

They’re just intercom systems really. It’s mostly funny now when people speak to me through them. They’ve usually just got out of the shower 🤦4

It just occurred to me there should be a scheme for single ladies to get a discount on video doorbells, they are so useful from a security point of view!
I have one on my back gate now as well. It was 'needed' yesterday when a neighbour was on her way to mine with her horse and husband and somehow a car went to near the husband and the car's wing mirror got broken. The car then followed her to mine, she went off to ride in the school and the driver got out to be abusive and make threats. Neighbours decided not to go home and eventually the police were called. By then the driver had hurled abuse at me and the VNM as well.
Police turn up, chat with everyone and seeing the camera say how useful and they will have evidence to support what happened. The footage is played back - and - those who read my thread will probably have guessed the next bit - the only thing anyone can hear is WattyDog barking furiously because no one will play ballHowever the abusive driver left so all good when the footage was being replayed so he never found out he was drowned out by WattyDog and actually very little of him is even seen thanks to WattyDog size and bounciness.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
