Might have another work trip in a couple weeks, to somewhere ridiculous and fabulous but the good thing about being away from home is it makes you think. I need to focus on the next thing - either the house (so the proper job) or the side hustle - i travel loads normally but I need to stay home and start winning on the house flat.
Plus only having a small bag makes you aware of the amount of stuff I have at home, more decluttering to be done.
I am not fully actualising myself in a few areas now
Shopping for the boots
Zara for once has nothing I like, including dresses whereas normally I do find loads here.
However Mang* is also cheaper here. Have seen a pair of boots that could work (cowboy heels though but v block) 99 euros (£83) , same pair in the UK £109.99 - also seen a lovely dress 69.99 euros which is £80 in the UK .. however I have an expensive purchase for my life ahead,, that homeSo will think on the boots.. and not buy the dress, being a bit slimmer really helps.
European CS
When I popped into my fav CS in Europe there was no must-buys, largely as I really dont need more clothes! However I did see a small bowl with legs perfect for one of my potted plants... £6.68 and so me, and I have loads plants so always looking for cheap plant pot holders.
Nutrition
I have not been on the slow carb as v difficult with running around with meetings. I have managed to add the beans into am and pm but lunchtime I have been grabbing food on the run. Managed of course to be GF but.. my body is feeling quite bloated and be glad to get home.
Wanting more/newer tech but saying no to myself
My phone is relying on the back up portable battery after a few hrs and I would love an ipad again as be easier to carry around and be v useful to work/travel with, as lighter and smaller than my macbook pro but a larger screen than my phone. However I again am stopping myself.. the phone does need sorting soon as the ear volume buttons are quite faint.. so needing to use my earpods for calls. I will try to win an ipad.. (did so 6 years ago but sold it as had one already)
If I do end up on this work trip in the next couple weeks I may end up buying the phone at least as about £300 cheaper thanks to the fx. I will then sell my current one to get a £200 + back. I have started saving for it.

Bootgate is done
had a couple hours before leaving for my flight home so did pop into a couple stores. One shop was v reasonable and had 5 pairs black kneehigh boots I could have happily bought.
There was a pair with a high but block heel and slight platform I loved and cheap 99 euros but I reminded myself I am buying flat knee boots for running around and to go with work dresses (I have loads high heeled and ankle ones) so I bought some v elegant black flat ones - beautiful supple leather - 160 euros so £133!!Hopefully they will last as long as my last Hobbs pair over 10 years. I have £104 in my YNAB clothing category already saved so I will shift the excess over - I
luckily for me I bought some fabulous knee high and v high brown long boots over a decade ago - designer - and still super cool - they were £400 down for over £1500.. and they still look great - so I never look at buying another pair long brown boots as they can’t compare to what I already own …the upside of buying incredible pieces - and also have the most fabulous evening winter coat that can’t be equalled - it really stops me looking at others
Black boots though … I can be tempted ..
I was tempted to stock up on the fabulous Caudelie reversatrol night cream 35 euros vs £40 in the uk as nearly run out but I am determined to get my toiletries down and got loads serums to get thru
Went straight from airport to college class then home, so exhausted.
Eating slow carb was v difficult travelling - especially dashing straight to college - nothing on plane gf apart from haribo, an itsu noodle pot (not great) and high cal brownie... next time need to take more nuts and cured meats for return journey .. haribo was eatenDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)

The boots sound good - I have no luck with boots at all, I walk out of them or my (not fat) calves can't get in them. It sounds like you and your brown boots were a match made in heaven though. You might find this Zoe podcast about Vit D interesting - I know I did.

My new black boots are smart, functional, elegant - look a bit like riding boots and with a flat heel (sadly) easy to drag luggage in whilst looking smart
Will check out the VIT D podcast - my dentist was v firm about me taking it for weeks before surgery,

I take 10000 a day plus cofactors, boron, k2, ZMA, fish oil, plus some other stuff, I rattle. I’ve been told the marine collegen tablet is no good and I need to be taking powder - any tips ?Sealed pot challenge 822

Ladies 10000 IU (ten thousand international units)? For daily dosing 800 to 1000 IU (one thousand) is normally the recommended dose? Vit D is fat soluble so it will be stored unlike vit C for instance which is water soluble. With water soluble even if you take more than you need you get rid of excess, with fat soluble you store the excess and thus can result in toxicity.Initial mortgage bal £487.5k, current £258k, target £243,750(halfway!)

@Sistergold that’s pretty much what the podcast talks about. And definitely don’t be taking it with calcium. Tim Spector is of the opinion that healthy people who get outside regularly shouldn’t need supplements, even in the UK (which I appreciate is contrary to NHS advice).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I take chorella daily as well (inflammation and feel great on it - we have colitis in the close family but I have avoided it), turmeric and boswellia plus the vit d
@Sistergold - appreciate the feedback and good to add that on this, a public forum. (i am suspecting you are in the medical field anyway eg a consultant)
My private dentist said that we get 25,000 ius vit D on a sunny day in the Med so 10,000 ius daily is well within normal parameters and what he recommends to everyone in the UK, especially pre op. I feel great on it and have my parents on it and they went through covid etc fine so it seems fine for me.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
