No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Not me for hell0 fresh but thanks for asking, used to use them but kept having missing/poor quality items so I gave up. Great way to try new things though, and it really encouraged the eldest who was doing food gcse at the time.

Sorry you had bad TK experience. They gave me a gift card for something I didn't have a receipt for so I think it depends on the individual shop.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

@savingholmes I hope so as I love this designer!@redofromstart tx for popping by - I stopped Hello fresh but they then offered me. 50% off box folllwed by a 40% one (then 2 x 20 which I will ignore)
on this week when I am so full on it’s easy to just have the food here - however I may have too much as bought loads of greens as well
I remembered I bought a network rail card last year and realised i could use it this weekend so saved £10 … pity I haven’t been using it to get to Gatwick as it also works on that ! It runs out in 2 months so ..
not seen a response from TkMax so I have bought a carry on from
amazon - delivered tomorrow / I will take The damaged one back Monday - only having a 3 month faulty guarantee is not good enough from TKMaxx
No money arrived today - luckily I can cover my rent Monday but I need a sharp word finally - that’s Mondays frog to do - will need to pull money out if 7% and premium bonds Monday ..
planning to hit them with a % interest rate too - got some work to do on my side hustle this weekend so early train in the morning
I did manage to work out some techy stuff today so v impressed with myself
handbag I am now waiting on a quote for some metal brackets to get madeDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)

Hope all are well
Had a super busy weekend travelling with the side hustle didn’t make as much money as I had hoped however learn lots of lessons and feeling very prepared for the next trip this week - plus a nice weekend and MWAP popped down one day and accompanied me which was sweet
my phone battery is really wearing down - so I just bought a phone battery case - so the extra battery is permanently on the phone and gives it an extra day …
I had bought an external battery pack but I left it at home yesterday and also have to remember to charge it
so I am hoping the £24 I paid for the battery case will allow me to be safe and delay upgrading my iPhone 12 Pro for another yearTK Maxx complaints have come back and said the store said the item was not faulty but my own damage!! this is not the case I could see the stitching was coming away from the zip when I got it home - they have mangled it in store though so now that the zip is caught up so I can’t prove anything so now I have to take it back to the original store and get either a gift card or an exchange And either way I will never be buying any luggage ever again from TK Maxx if notManaged to get a couple of invoices very small ones paid today so am no longer in overdraft. I was in overdraft for an hour and it drove me mad. Need to have a very big conversation with the main client so just prepping all invoices and getting that sorted, this is now the big priority for mePacking to go on the trip tomorrow for two weeks it’s warm it’s sunny, abroad in a fabulous city so going to be a lovely adventure.Have someone putting me up for a week of the 2 - So I’m saving on accommodation charges and hopefully all will go well looking forward to the food and everything and seeing how the side hustle is.My plan is to do the two weeks abroad then come back and get stuck in and studying on the python course I’ve signed up for and paid and also getting a further contract now .The lasr few months and lack of invoices being paid has made it very clear I need to stop waiting on the existing client to be in time with my payments so I have to get another contract if I want to get a mortgage and show regular payments and be able to buy a new home without any stress
The current place I stay at looks like I could be here for another two 2 1/2 years. Ideally I wiill have bought between this summer and next summer but at least it give me a bit more breathing space - where I went now is very reasonable, in a brilliant central London area And I am getting 12% on a lot of my house deposit so after all the figures are added up including the tax I have to pay on my deposit interest then I’m still doing pretty well and actually my monthly outgoings for rent pretty smallWrapping up things today and looking to pack what I need - just written a very long list of what I need to do
- picked up the new vinted dress or New to me Vinted dress. I love it. It’s a designer that I already have 2 full lengths and an evening cocktail dress this is more of a day dress but it is very good quality. It looks like it’s never been worn. It’s got white lining. There’s not a mark on anything at all and it fits me nicely so pleased with that. The hellfresh food I had four meals which I’ve only eaten one of so this morning I did make up the tasty lamb one - I can see freezing the second and maybe cooking up the third ready ready for when I come backAll feels like I’m really away a lot. I was away for over two weeks, back for a few days away this weekend , now off again this is a really busy period and although I’m looking forward to this next two weeks side trip abroad in the sunshine I am also aware it would be good to get home and get settled. My flat really needs some serious minimalism going on. I’m actually enjoying throwing things out when I find them, I know you can get the 500 points from boots with old recycling but my local boots even though it is a recycling store never has the bin and I’m getting sick of it so I’m just starting to throw thingsI can’t do my monthly YNAB because I’ve spent more already in June than I am paid - this amount of money hasn’t even covered my rent this month but I do have some breathing space and I will be severely hassling everyone else for money or worst case scenario I’ll be pulling money out of my premium bonds but I’m trusting that will not be happeningDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)

TKMarx need a slap around the head with a wet fish!Stands alongside LWAP in solidarity and starts warming up the ‘Paddington Hard Stare’ for the ‘pay your flipping invoices’ conversation … 😉
Glad the dress fitted so well 😊
Are you sure you don’t just need a new phone ….? I tortured myself for months with trying to avoid buying a ‘new’ car when my old one was getting dreadfully unreliable … The relief when I finally ‘gave in’ and got a ‘new’ car was ridiculous - gave me about 15% of my headspace back, genuinely.KKAs at 15.07.25:
