Wow (not in good way) to TKM …. Proper useless response and like you don’t already have enough to deal with atm. Good luck with finding a sensible alternative and enjoy making the complaint! 😉Yaay for the gym and feeling fitter 🤩 I’ve noticed since gardening more that overall my aerobic and strength fitness has increased in recent weeks after all the gardening I have been doing (or least on the days when I can move! 😂) 😊

Good for sticking to the wording in TK Maxx but how frustrating. I thought you were selling on Vinted
or did you sell and hence purchases on there don't count
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!4 -
Yes mega well done for standing your ground with TKM I would also be annoyed if it started going that soon. Also great on second day gym keep going didn't your count your streaks at one point maybe try that again until you are off again.

I spent hundreds in TK Max last Christmas and DS bless him was trying to buy some Xmas presents...he picked up some chocolate truffles amongst other gifts not realising it has alcohol in for his Step mum and they made such a song and dance about it he nearly cried! I took him outside to calm down and I went back in and tried to buy them (let's face it it was my money anyway and I was doing all the wrapping I was just trying to let him be independent ) and they called security on me and quite literally marched me out! Told me I was buying alcohol for a minor and I was a disgrace. Like seriously? I was livid.
What a waste of time and energy I was so embarrassed and angry for DS and let's face it step mum didn't even make it to Xmas morning present time (she passed away Xmas Eve) and it just left poor ds distraught as they were SO rude. He's got awful memories of the whole ruddy thing now and it irritates me every time I think of it. I have sworn off shopping there ever again because of it. Tact is not a requirement of the job clearly. Sorry.... bit of a rant there. But I sympathise with you.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. That is a sad story @debtfreewannabe321 The flip side is the probably the quality of customer (excluding us lot obviously). A friends daughter worked in a similar store at weekends and her stories of customers were beyond belief. I expect it hardens the staff and humanity gets lost.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Wow @debtfreewannabe321 that’s awful! Poor both of you ! Shocking behaviour
I spent 30 mins on the customer service who agreed they didn’t know the rules and apologised - apparently 48 hr max response rate on email - I still neee a new case ideally by tomorrow morning so may go bank to original store this eve to sort but I am continuing my complaintQueen_of_the_Hive said:Hey @LadyWithAPlan, can i just say thank you! I have been every day now - went yesterday to do chest shoulders and triceps - will pop by to do back and biceps today as need to drop a handbag off to be fixed nearby - metal strap gone - so will use excuse to get a quick 30 mins in - am feeling so much better despite a boozy dinner
had another free gorgeous dinner out in London last night as friend looking to consult there so it was on the house - homemade gluten free pasta was amazing
had 3 courses and wine plus a cocktail after then popped to a private members bar - was with 2 very old fabulous friends so had some great catch up
stressing about money slightly as rent due Monday - I have the cash in my current account but that’s really to pay off my cc - YNAB letting me know very clearly .. plus I have some more to pay with all these trips - so chasing 2 companies today and need to send updated invoices to all 3
spent 4 hours yesterday fighting with an overseas waiver form / 4 of them ! One needed snail mail or fax! So figured out fax via email but printer also decided to not scan and talk to WiFi .. argh so my great plans of focus on a creative thing were lost - still it’s large amounts of withholding tax so had to be doneTallGirl said:Yes mega well done for standing your ground with TKM I would also be annoyed if it started going that soon. No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
