If you win a prize, how are you notified?
If by email, how is it headed, where does it come from?
I've had an email just saying "congratulations" but I'm loathe to open it, as it's probably just spam/scam.How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.98% of current retirement "pot" (as at end April 2025)19 -
This is what it says in the T&Cs,
"The draw will take place after the closing date and prize winners will be notified by post on Puzzler Media headed paper within 28 days of the closing date. A list of prize winners will be published on the site within 28 days of the closing date. Only winners' names and counties will be published. All winners must agree to future publicity. Any prize returned to Puzzler Media Ltd will be disposed of six months after the closing date, after every effort has been made to contact the winner."
Of course they may send emails too. Can you see where the email came from without opening it? Also, can you check on the website to see if you are named as a winner?24 -

Usually a WEM is simple text that asks you to respond with a few details they may need to facilitate the prize delivery. It should be quite specific about the prize and they should include some information about yourself that they would only from entering the competition. For example they may state your address and ask you to confirm it. They shouldn't ask you to follow a link or read any attachments.
Scams usually have stupid web addresses to follow like claim-your-prize.amazon.tech/win or something ridiculous and may ask you for a payment for delivery or to secure your prize.2021 - £250, Cornwall Holiday, Chocolate, Radio, £750 voucher, Galaxy Cookies, 5* night Manchester, £5 Currys
