my letter to MP what do you guys think
Dear Lucy,
I have been in a dispute with KBT Cornwall Ltd t/a Armtrac Security Services who have been threatening legal action since the 7th July 2021. I have recently received a “Letter of Claim” and I am preparing to defend myself in court prior to receiving a court claim.
The incident happened at Sennen Beach Car Park (site) which was apparently managed by Armtrac Security Services. The car park was apart of a restaurant from what it seemed. I didn’t see the Parking ticket machine nor the parking signs due to the steep slope of the parking site. The majority of the time in Cornwall I paid in every car park that required it at the pay and display machine. However, due to the inadequate display in this car park, I did not manage to pay for parking and unfortunately, I received a Parking Charge Notice.
BW legal the legal consultant representing KBT Cornwall Ltd t/a Armtrac Security Services have increased and added payments to the initial £60 penalty charge now totalling £160. In addition, they are threatening with court fees, solicitors cost and statutory interest to amass to £251.56.
Please support me by getting involved before I receive a court claim in 30 days, get in contact with the landowners at Sennen beach car park.
I have linked their website http://sennenbeach.com/car-parking/
There is a new law coming this year debated by MPs in 2018 and is a live issue with the MHCLG now called DLUHC. Due to Government's published intention to end unfair practices by PPCs, we can expect support on a case by case basis from MPs

I'd change this, so the MP isn't frightened off by thinking it's at court stage, where MPs tend to say they can no longer help:
"I have recently received court threats but this case is pre-action and not a legal matter at this stage, so I am asking for your help please, with a complaint to bring the harassment to a close."
i am glad you mentioned the new Code and DLUHC, because MPs really should be aware of the imminent new statutory changes and it is reasonable to expect MPs to be proactive and on constituents' side against any rogue or unfair practices.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Hi all, I got in contact with My PM and the caseworker has emailed me this week to say that she is having trouble finding out who the landowner is at Sennen cove beach car park nor the CEO of Armtrac/KBT. I don't know what to do next to help her, I had a look myself the only information available is info@armtracservices.co.uk. The casework said she can get my PM to contact the Penzance council but that would take a bit of time, I only have about 30 days before Armtract issues the SAR. Doess anyone know how to get further info without going on the land registry website?

Hey guys,
my PM got an email regarding my situation from the council see below
Dear xxxx
regarding the PCN notice received at Sennen Cove. I know the car park well and although I appreciate the situation his comments about the signage and Pay & Display machine are not correct which would make it difficult for us to appeal his case. My questions would be on what grounds would we be appealing?
If can let me know what you might be thinking, but in reality, these cases are difficult for us to intervene in at such a late stage.
Regards,
it looks like I won't be getting any support from the council unless I figure out how to approach this case.

Just a quick update guys with my situation with Armtrac, they stopped sending me letters all of the sudden just before I was expecting to receive a letter before county court. Really happy about that.

I have received Letter of Claim from BW legal. Im not sure if my defence will be any good because I just completely forgot to pay for my parking that day, I didnt even notice the parking signs. Should I just pay the £160 they have requested for and get it over with or should I defend it?0

Why not use "I didn't even notice the signs" to your advantage?
If the signs were prominent you would've seen them, wouldn't you?1
