Back in the day when my wife administered her sister's funds as an Attorney, she opened an account in her sister's name, into which the sister's State Pension was paid. The council social services debited the appropriate amount from that account monthly, and paid the care home. The sister was left with about £7 per week for personal expenditure. If grandma has a bank account already, then surely the process in this situation should be similar. More recently when my father was in a care home as a self-funder, i.e. no council contribution to his care costs, his care home payments were made from his own bank account after I authorised a Standing order, acting as his Attorney. Otherwise there is a risk that grandma's money will look like it is your money.

When self-employed but trading as (T/A) some other name, one's business account is named as "person T/A business name". Could not there be a similar principle such as "Moneywow1 pro Grandmother"? (I've no idea, just wondering.)0
