Cocobanana - What did you bank have to say about it?
  • If it is showing as a credit what can the banks say, it could be a refund from winnings could it not and your bank will be able to see you have deposited at one or various online casinos. As far as I am aware only credit cards for use of gambling are frowned (or not allowed) upon. Using your debit account is fine - isn’t it?
  • Thank you everyone for these comments. I too have had x3 payments paid in. My belief is that these payments are from some online gaming site that has had intervention from a commission and is refunding part or all of our losses due to illegal activity. I cant see how else it could be as scams don't work like this. I have informed my bank but am assuming the money is mine. Cheers all.
  • Hi All

Thanks for your comments as I have had the same. 4 x payments today and the thread really helps to add some clarity to what the payments are

Do you suggest I leave my bank account ot close it? As its the main one I use for all my bills/direct debts and etc?

As the payments in total are around £2k haha. So unsure what to do haha. Of course I wa t to keep that money haha
  • Morning, just signed up to leave a comment. Relapsed during the euros and deposited some money at Olympus play casino - about £100 total. I’ve called Halifax and they just said leave the money in as all they can do is refund the amount. Manager said that they’d never seen anything like it before. Fingers crossed for some more today!

    Hope that helps.

Has anyone worked out which site it came from?

I’m guessing it’s from a mixture of offshore gambling sites with no regulations. I think mine is from Olympus play as that’s the only one I’ve used all year and the amount deposited matches…

Correct.i believe I should be owed more than what I got, unless they we're only able to give back a % of our money

I had 3 payments too £48.88 x2 £48.89x1 I know mine has to be from Royal Oak Casino if it’s to with gambling as I played a lot about 6 months ago lost a fortune then read the reviews for this site it was dreadful, kind of weird as one night I topped up again & again trying to get a bonus on a slot machine but the reviews said they are very rare and so is a win.
I have not played that site for 6 months or more I’m on GameStop but this site wwas the only one that would let me deposit, but cured my gambling when I read their reviews
