Free Unlock Codes for Nokia Phones

I have a really annoying problem with my mobile. I have a Nokia 6600 on Orange that had to be repaired (the speaker had broken in the earpiece). Instead of a repair they replaced my handset (thank you very much!!). I then got a new mobile through work, that was on Vodafone. I tried a few times to unlock my 6600 using the code generators, but they don't work. I then sent my phone off to someone to unlock it via cable for a tenner, this also failed. Apparently Orange phones now come with something stopping them from being unlocked, so it looks like I will have to pay Orange £20 to get them to do it. What annoys me most is that I paid for the phone when it first came out, it was quite expensive, but surely that make the handset my property to do whatever I like with..... It has got me quite annoyed really!!!!
Not sure if anyone has any advice for this? I know if is only £20, but it is the principle now more than anything!!!!

Press * 3 times fast for (p)
Press * 4 times fast for (w)
Press * 2 times fast for (+)
Double check code before pressing the last #.
If it reads "Code error", don't try again!! Come back and tell us.
If it reads "Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked!!
Get back to us to let us know if it worked.
If you get 'code error' 5 times it is hardlocked,
it will need done by cable.

I have unlocked Nokias in the past but things seem a lot more complicated now! I have a 6020 which does not appear on the drop down menu of any of the calculators - can it be unlocked?

I have tried using unlock websites but I do not know how to fill in some of the boxes re versions, box numbers, prodigy etc.
