Hi,
I'm trying to unlock a friends samsung e710, I tried the instructions on the non-nokia unlocking but it's asking for a 'sim password' when I try a different sim card and I don't know what to put in. It's not the sim pin that I have on the sim card.0 -
try this mate works for 99% of people
1. Type *#06# on your phone and write down your IMEI (you'll need it
later) or get it from the back of your phone.
2. Put a simcard from another provider and power on your phone
3. At the "wrong card" message type: *2767*688YOURIMEI, for
example: *2767*68835363900065487#
(imei is 14 digits ignore the 3 digits after the slash "/")
4. Your phone will reboot and then your simcard from other provider will
work
****this 4 steps is for a temporary unlocking, when you power off your
phone
it'll be locked again, to permanently unlock it continue to step 5****
5. After your phone has rebooted on step 4, dont press any key or do
anything,
just type this: *0141# and hit the send button (green button)
6. A message will appear telling you that your phone is personalized
7. Shut off the phone and enter the SIM of yet another carrier.
8. At the "Enter SIM lock password" screen, enter eight zeros as in
00000000.
9. YOUR PHONE IS NOW UNLOCKEDandrew parker0 -
Got up to entering the 8 zero's and it didn't accept it0

I've got a unique Cell phone problem. I've got a Nokia 6560 from AT&T wireless. I can't figure out how to get the IMEI Number out of it. Using the *#06# method only calls the local provider that the phone used to use and tells me to contact my service provider. It doesn't return the IMEI number. No big deal right? Well the one ESN thats listed underneath the battery is 11 digits. The ESN listed is: 04304018133. Isn't it supposed to be 15 digits? Is this phone different or am I doing something incorrectly? Thanks in advance!

I've recently got a Nokia 5110 off ebay - and a new Orange PAYG simm. When I switch the phone on, no network is shown. If I go to set the network search to manual, it gives me the options of Vodaphone or BT Cellnet. I thought perhaps the phone was locked so using a couple of free calculators, I've put in the unlock codes. They tell me that the simm wasn't locked. Yet if I try and dial out it says there's no network coverage.
The same simm works fine in another phone, and a simm from another phone (which I know works) gives the same results in the 5110.
I'm starting to wonder if the phone's been blocked (i.e. nicked!). Can I check that and if it's not that. s there anything else that would give these results and what can I do to get the phone working?
Thanks0 -
hi would,nt like to say the phone is blocked as its a very old phone would,nt be worth reporting as stolen to me and im not as clever as some on here just sounds like a fault put the orange sim back in try sending a text message if you can send one it sounds like its blocked why they blocked a phone whats worth a tenner or less i.ll never know good luckandrew parker0

ref nokia 5110
this old model is single band 900mhz only which is why you only get voda and cellnet (o2)on man search
even if unlocked it still cannot work on orange and tmobile (1800mhz)
best get one of the very cheap/free o2 sims to use in it0 -
hey told you there was someone clever than me lol well done m8andrew parker0
