  • you could get the older Sony W'series for the same money - am sat infront of my mates one now and they are rather nice. Not quite enough change for the stand though.
  • To be honest when considering TV's I have to include Stands in the price (otherwise the girlfriend would go spare :p)

So to get the M86 Samsung with the black stand for £850, instead of retail of £1200.. it's a good price!

Plus I've been reading some stuff.. it looks like its a 50/50 whether people go for the Sony or the Samsung. There are good and bads of both. Im very interested to see how football looks on my Sammy though ^-^

£200.00 stand??? Is it gold plated???
  • I agree completely Inactive. its crazy! But seriously go into somewhere like that and look at the stands.. all around the £200 mark for high priced LCD tv's. Its daylight robbery

But i managed to get it for free basically haha.

  • Just another question...

I've seen a few forum posts relating to Scart Cables. I always use the standard ones that come with my Xbox 360 and Sky box, however some forums suggest using expensive QED style cables on high end equipment as this makes a lot of difference?

This seems to be a very opinionated topic, with no definitive answers. If I'm going to get a vastly improved image quality out of my NONE HD Sky box, then I should spend the bit extra ? (getting them on ebay for a knock-off price of course...)

    What ya think

I always hate scart sockets they either in properly or not. Personnel I think using expensive scart cables than cheap ones the difference if minor. Far better to have a full scart lead assuming the tv can take rgb scart and the equipment able to send via that too, that a bigger difference. TBH I think sky box (none HD) does give the best output from what I have seen, freeview is slightly better.
