Good morning all. I won’t get one today, but I do plan/hope that august will be my breakthrough month on the no spend front. I’m a little sad there’s no ice cream, but I’m loving the frog 😁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Good morningI am a newbie to MSE and I would like to kick start my commitment to becoming debt free by joining you in the NSD August challenge ~ I am aiming for 15 days.
I am a little lost on how to get started so I would love to hear your advice or fee free to sign post me to other forums on the MSE 🥰Living a frugalista lifestyle has sparked my interest, I would love to know more
sending my best wishes to everyone for their NSD challenges 🥰1 -
hi Kitty43
and welcome
I've added you to the list, best of luck with the challenge! There's loads of useful advice on the MSE website, in fact so much it is really hard to know where to start with it. There's a whole section devoted to frugal living and thrift here with challenges and advice, etc. Also you could consider starting a thread in the Debt-Free Wannabe section with a breakdown of your monthly outgoings - people will also comment with advice there about how you can cut outgoings. Also, maybe this isn't something to do straight away but you might consider starting a debt-free diary where you can track your progress? Other MSEers will join in to offer their advice and I think it can really help with the slog of paying down debt. The debt-free diary section is here (though you probably know that already?) If you didn't want to start one yourself, the others make good reading. I hope that's a start!
