@Umkomaas was probably expecting it to be £0 but at least you know there is still action to be taken. We have seen occasions when the charge has been cleared by the PPC on appeal without notifying the appellant.rlavvy said:Umkomaas said:Go to their website as if to pay the parking charge. You might be pleasantly surprised! Tell us what it says.OK. I did not hit the final Pay button but before that it read: "There is an outstanding charge of £60.00 for this Parking Charge Notice."What are you expecting?4 -
Thanks @Le_Kirk - exactly what I was thinking (hoping). Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

22.8 You must acknowledge or reply to the appeal within 14 days of receiving it. If at first you only acknowledge the appeal, or your reply does not fully resolve it, normally we would expect you to seek the additional information you require from the motorist and accept or reject the appeal in writing not more than 35 days after theRedx said:
The BPA CoP mentions 35 days , please download it and read itrlavvy said:Coupon-mad said:Just do it again and take screenshots and keep them. Email them to yourself.
OK. I did it again and took screen shots on the 30th July. No notification of the second time either. Haven't heard anything back from them. How long does it normally take for them to reply?
information required to resolve it has been received
from the motorist. It is acknowledged that in exceptional circumstances, an investigation into a appeal may take longer than 35 days after such information has been
received and in these instances the motorist must be
advised accordingly and given a date by which they can expect a resolution. If this date cannot be achieved
then the motorist must be written to again and a
revised resolution date agreed. We may require you to demonstrate that you are keeping to these times
The excerpt above is from the BPA CoP. I have not received notice of my appeal and 14 days have passed so things are looking good.

Yes, that's a conclusion you might draw if you were dealing with a reasonable company, but remember, you are not dealing with John Lewis here.3 -
If only parking companies fully complied with their trade body CoP
In the real world , nothing will change until summer 2022 when the mandatory government CoP is in force1 -
OK. Appeal rejected. Onto the POPLA stage.

Not really a consultation more of a marketing questionaire aimed at producing a result.

Thanks for you help.Errr... sorry? I did do it. That is why I noticed that the vast majority of questions were designed for the respondant to agree with. Lots of agreement means the proposal(s) are a good idea.......right.An example for my proposal: The government will ensure that everyone will have four pints of milk delivered to their door everyday by 5am. Those who decline to drink the milk will be fined. Milk detectors will be fitted to all drains to monitor if milk is being discarded. Please circle one response :Four pints of milk a day will be enough for majority of UK families.Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree, Strongly Disagree. The proposal will ensure that milk producers in the UK stay in business.Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree, Strongly Disagree. The proposal will create employment within the UK.Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree, Strongly Disagree. All fines introduced should have a mechanism where an appeal can be lodged.Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree, Strongly Disagree. Some form of milk detector will be required to ensure milk is not discarded into the drains.Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree, Strongly Disagree. There, I agreed with all those questions. Seems like the proposal is a good one. It's classic marketing and NOT research.
