hoc said:Is it worth me switching my Lloyds Bank Platinum MasterCard to this?I seem to have a standard "Lloyds Bank Platinum MasterCard", not one of the specialist ones. In my statement it says:Your standard interest rates are:
19.30% p.a. (variable) for Cash Transactions
19.30% p.a. (variable) for Purchases
19.30% p.a. (variable) for Balance Transfer and Money Transfers
17.77800% p.a. (variable) for Default chargesIs there anything else I can check to compare? I always pay on time in full so the APR is not relevant to me and I never use the card abroad.I have a large credit limit of 12k. Any chance swapping to this would cause it to reduce?1 -

I have a really old Halifax cashback card (like 22 years open sort of old) but as I spend over £4000 over the course of a year this would be quite nice to have instead, I asked the AI bot thing in the Halifax app but it didn't understand my question...I asked Lloyds if I could do it with an old halifax credit card and was told they don't do this as they are two separate brands even though they are owned by Lloyds Banking group. I was told I would have to apply separately for the rewards credit card which I have done.
Edit, applications initially approved, £4k limit, if it gets final approval, will start the fun task of changing all my saved cards

I have an existing Lloyds Platinum Credit Card and tried to swap it to the Cashback card online, however I couldn't get past the eligibility checker, it just said there was a problem and to try again later.
However, when I try again it now says I have an application in the system so cannot apply again as it may be approved.
I phoned Lloyds today and they said that apparently they have not been able to swap any existing cardholders to the cashback card, due to a technical problem which the IT team are trying to fix. They advised me to try again at the end of the week or early next week. :-(0 -

Just applied, accepted, and new account showing up in Online Banking, all within 10 minutes.
Credit limit is a measly £1k, which could get annoying unless I can redistribute the limit from my existing Lloyds c/c.
I applied for a new card, rather than converting the existing one, so I'm eligible for the £20 bonus.1 -

Credit limit of £3k on a pension income of £10k so all in all a very positive experience with Lloyds.0 -
My card rocked up yesterday too, no PIN letter sent but app works fine to get it. Card activated and spending went through fine. Interface on app is basically the same as the Halifax one in different colours as you'd expect, no problems with payments
