    That's fine for a Council one.  Attach a copy of the front of the ticket and do it ONLINE not by letter.
    PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I returned to my vehicle at YellowCraigs on Friday 23rd July and was surprised to find that a PCN had been attached to my windscreen.  I had bought a valid ticket earlier in the day and duly placed it on the dashboard, however there was no sticky back on the ticket to properly secure this.  Whilst closing the van door it appears that the ticket has blown over, thus making the necessary details unreadable by the Enforcement Officer.

    The serial number on the attached photograph of my valid ticket correlates with the serial number of the photographs as taken by the Enforcement Officer (also attached).

    I would like to kindly request that you review and consider cancellation of this PCN.  The parking was paid for in good faith as demonstrated by a valid ticket.  Going forward I will ensure that I double check the ticket details are visible after closing the vehicle door.

    <fingers crossed>

    Thanks again all :)

    Just to be clear to newbies, this is how to appeal a real Council PCN not a predatory private one from some greedy ex-clamper firm, which you don't appeal like this!

  • Thanks everyone for your advice. PCN has been cancelled with warning that future failure to properly display a ticket will not be met with the same considerations.  Phew. :)
