Old O2 contract - Changes being Imposed?

When they changed it some time ago I used it for a daytime call and got charged for it. I did an online chat with them about it and was told it was not included in my tariff. I suggested that they need to change my online account because it said it was included. I didn’t bother to follow it up. Have you tried to use it outside of the original contract terms ?

No. The PUFFL sim just sits in my non internet enabled dumb brick phone to be able to receive calls and texts, and has done since 2002! I might try it in the next few days to do a short call and see if it comes up as free... It says contract length "monthly" in 'my 02' with all the free mins/texts 500 MB data, yet other parts of the site still say LeisureTime 200 Pay Up Front as the tariff

My only fear is that now I'm on the new tariff, it lets them move it away from the zero line rental for life deal. Can anyone confirm that they can't do this? I've not seen anything in the T's & C's and there appears to be no new contract that I've seen...
