I am fed up of explaining myself!!!!!

Just because i don't know one is doesn't mean there isn't one.

Where do you have the info to say otherwise????

I dont have any info to say one way or the other, that is why I am not offering advice.

Gosh, just imagine if we were all allowed to travel with up to three letters wrong on our tickets!!! It does make sense that the passport name should be exactly the same as on your ticket .Security should stop you, run all the necessary security checks and hopefully if all checks out okay let you travel onwards. It does bother me that some folk seem to get through security just too easily with incorrect spellings...that really bothers me especially in today's climate.

  • Names: The name on the passport must match the name on the ticket, otherwise you may not be able to travel and insurance may be invalid.

Still only says may not - doesn't say you def can't.

  • Had same problem today. Called them, answered quicker than expected. Asked for spelling correction. They say they'd do for free up to 3 letters. But mine was 4 and they charged 7 quid. Better than 80 quid for a name change...
  • just happened to me - surname missing a letter, and i was c******* myself at the thought of having to pay £100 for a name change. However i rang premium 0905 566 0000 (@ £1 / min!), and they were very helpful, no charge. Thankfully the Irish lady who took my call spoke at a good rate of knots so guess my sticky keyboard has only cost me around a fiver.
  • I missed out a letter in my surname, took smokey's advice, was on the phone for under a
minute at £1 per min. Amazing customer service- from Ryanair!!! All sorted with reconfirmation email done in a jiffy
  • I entered my friend's name as Rob on the booking, however, it stated Robert on the passport.

I was going to take a chance and risk it at the gate and not call the premium rate number and give Ryanair the opportunity to charge me! Nevertheless, thought twice about risking it at the airport and what effect it would have on our holiday if we did happen to get charged!! :-/

Rung Customer Services, explained the situation, name was changed with no hesitation and no charge! On the call for less than 1 minute! Excellent service from Ryanair!

All sorted with a confirmation email back within seconds!

Don't risk it guys - give them a call!
  • I had put the Mrs down as a Mr,
I rung the customer services number 10p a minute
held on the phone for 16 minutes and by the 17th minute it was all changed to what it was supposed to be.
My fault so dont mind paying somthing for my mistake but not £100

Thank you Ryan air customer services,
they couldnt have been more helpful.
Everyones always slagging Ryan air off and in this case theres no merit for it.
  • I spelt my daughters first name wrong on the booking - i missed out an i in her first name. I followed this thread forum as I was worried about being charged £100 according to thier website... but I to phoned the £1 a min number. The spelling mistake was changed FOC and a new booking confirmation was emailed to me. The call lasted 1 min and 10 seconds.. brilliant service and a weight of my mind....
