Closed Board Deleted?

Why has the closed board Matched Betting been deleted? How much admin time can a closed board, which nobody can post to , take up? I haven't used it for years but over a decade of useful info for anybody who might want it has just gone in an instant.

I know it was announced - after it had been done.
I'll ask again, what admin time can be taken up by a board that's closed and that nobody can post to?

It's not visible but not necessarily deleted. MSE might have a valid business purpose for retaining the content undeleted for a few months. For example, to facilitate a change of mind. Though of course if MSE said that it has been deleted then it really must be deleted and the content rendered unretrievable by all including MSE employees.

Anything searchable can potentially generate complaints and can also advertise content that's no longer around, frustrating people who come around looking for it. Continuing to make the content available could provide a viable business purpose for not deleting the content.

If you want your own posts from the board then datarequest@moneysavingexpert.com is the email address to use. Best to be quick in case MSE are planning deletion but haven't yet done it.
