As part of all the work we’ve been doing we’ve had to make some difficult decisions about which bits of the Forum we were going to leave open and which we unfortunately had to bring to a close.
MoneySavers Arms was an area of the Forum people could go to discuss non-MoneySaving issues. However, this board took away a disproportionate amount of resource from the rest of the site and the clue’s in the title – we’re all about MoneySaving! So we decided to keep it on point.
With regards to Matched Betting and the Referrers board, to those Forumites who used these threads, we realise they were an important part of their Forum experience. But they were few and far between. For example, only 0.36% of content was being generated on the Referrals board, yet took several hours of managing a week.
We would have loved to have kept everything open on the Forum but we have to make decisions on how best to allocate the resource.
We thank you for your understanding.
Best wishes,
MSE Laura F

Auto-enrolment section (sub of pensions) - a complete ghost town of a board and often mistaken for automobiles.
ISA and Tax free savings (sub of investments) - very little traffic. ISAs and other tax free wrappers are more often discussed in the main investments section. Sometimes people post the same post in both.
LPG, Heating Oil, Solid & Other Fuels - don't get rid of it but it frequently gets misposts from people not seeing Gas or electric but seeing "other fuels" in the title. They don't realise "Energy" is the gas and electric section. Please adjust to a more suitable name

I suspect this isn't the true reason, at all, which is why you won't care - but I really doubt this will save time.
