Strange then that CCBC haven't issued a DQ to the defendant; could be they are behind with their admin but it is a long time now (May to August); maybe a call to CCBC to find out.  Does CCBC have correct address for the defendant?

Thank you yes, same address 22 years. I will try to get her to give them a call

Or download one and get her to email that to the court anyway.

One of my relatives has just received a Claim Form. Issue date is 10th August. I think this means we do Aos anytime from Tuesday. but I would be grateful for @KeithP to advise

Do the AoS on or very soon after day six of the claim form issue date to obtain the maximum time to submit a defence.

Surely this must be for a different incident.
Recent posts on this thread have been about a missing DQ.
    I predict confusion will follow.

    Anyway...

With a Claim Issue Date of 10th August, you have until Tuesday 30th August to file an Acknowledgment of Service but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.

Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 12th September 2022 to file your Defence.
That's four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

Thanks very much @KeithP. To avoid confusion, there are four of us with exactly the same details, defence and so on. The missing DQ is off one case, the claim referred to is new. All the same detail though. Thanks team

Added - I am doing all of the defence work, all cases , hence keeping to one thread

So the CCBC has issued a DQ to claimaint but not to Defendant
Then you either let sleeping does lie until such a time the claimaint contacts the court or the CCBC notices (unlikely)
    Or you contact
Personally i know what id do......

Thanks @Grizebeck. We are working on something that will give us even better defence(s) so right now, we are letting sleeping dogs lie for a little longer and keeping an eye on Mcol
