Went to dds to look after dgs, we didn't go out at all - well only to school to pick dgd up - it's been drizzle on and off all day, so he showed me all his Xmas toys and we played trains, cars, jigsaws, did some reading and played the guitar!!!! Well he pretended to whilst giving me a rendition of 'wheels on the bus' he's only two so it was as good thing I could recognise it😃. Took leftovers for lunch and had more of the same when I got in to finish it off!
So today went to plan and no money has been spent - yay!!!tomorrow I'm doing a round robin dropping stuff of at charity depot and then going for a coffee at sil house, he has a day off and makes nice coffee in his posh coffee machine and I'm near there!! And then on to do a couple of more bits and home. I have food in to make my tea so that's accounted for and I'll probably make enough for two days.
Anyway it's getting late so I'm off to bed, nite niteNannyg£1 a day 2025: £90.00/365 Xmas fund4 -
Today went more or less as planned. Did a load of laundry this morning, sheets and duvet covers from visitors beds and hung them outside until I went out after lunch. I thought it might rain but in the end it didn't but I didn't get home until after dark, so I'm glad I got it in. Also this morning I sorted the fridge out and prepared and cooked some overripe pears for pudding bases and as I'm in all day tomorrow I think I will be dehydrating some peppers that haven't been used but still fine.
Dropped stuff off at the charity depot, called at the Lottie and did an hour's tidying, dropped off food at sil but didn't stay for coffee after all and then went to visit a friend!!
I had a nice tea (out of a Joe Wicks book) washed up etc and just got lost down a youtube rabbit hole!!!!
I don't have any leftovers for tomorrow's tea so I'll find something to put together from the freezer, it is mysteriously filled to the brim again! But as I gave it a tidy after the fridge sorting I now know what's in there as I made a list - go me for a bit of organization! Just got to remember to keep it updated😃
So that's it for today, I've made a list of jobs for the next few days as I'm only going out to to the library and nowhere else so hopefully I should have a clean and tidy house!!! 😃

When I went out to feed the birds this morning I noticed it was a windy and mild day, it was also a laundry day for me (heavy load), very happy for it to get out onto line and blow most of the wet out.
They'll dry overnight indoors and smell lovely
I've managed absolutely fine drying indoors when I need to, better than I had anticipated (it's my first winter in a one bed flat), but still love line dried laundry!3 -
I love hanging the washing out as well, even for a little bit. I love the fresh air smell when I wash my curtains in the summer 😃£1 a day 2025: £90.00/365 Xmas fund2

You've reminded me I need to do a new freezer list, @nannygladys..I went to the back of the small freezer yesterday to fetch out something for Mr F's packed lunch & spotted something in the back I didn't know we'd got. Defo time for a new list when that starts happening.
I love line-drying too, but my laundry days mostly seem to coincide with rain. Heated airer copes well, but I do find myself jiggling the clothes around on it much more often now, so they dry quicker & I can switch it off. We don't use much electricity compared to gas, but with these crazy prices plus uncertainty around just how far prices will continue to rise this year, every saving counts.

foxgloves - whilst visitors were here I had to move 'stuff' including my 'just in case' stock, so done another list as I've been moving it all back and I definitely don't need anymore pasta or rice 😂
